Had a lovely 10 night stay here. Our room was gorgeous, very comfortable bed and pillows.. Breakfast was very varied with lots of choice. Our breakfast lady Kiriaki (Kola) was so friendly and happy every single day, thank you.. Another mention goes to Stella who served at the pool bar and restaurant she knew exactly what we wanted on a daily basis thank you! Always managed to get a sunlounger round the pool on the 5th floor another mention goes to the first aid / lifeguard lady who was very chatty sorry didn’t get her name.. We had lunch a few times in the restaurant which was very nice.. Lastly but not least our thanks and gratitude goes to Emma the General Manager whom kindly asked us to sample 5 different bottles of wine produced in Crete. Each bottle was delicious and extremely good! For sure they were all as good as any wine from chile, Australia or Spain! We would return here in a heartbeat.. Thank again..

Adored this hotel from the moment I arrived. Very cute boutique style. Immediate upgrade on arrival. Rooms immaculate, views insane, staff polite. It would have been great if the service buttons on the umbrellas around the pool worked but I didn’t mind going to the bar. Just would have been a nice touch. Breakfast was great - loads of choice. A sax player on two occasions at breakfast. Location is fab, short walk to beaches, bars & shopping. No bad words for this place & would return in a heartbeat!

A fabulous hotel and stay but ruined for us and many guests by ten men in their 50s & 60s who were allowed to drink heavily all day and evening and bullying and verbally abusing guests which was an unpleasant experience and upsetting. Staff did nothing and carried on serving them alcohol. I found it a horrible experience and just wanted to go home. All other guests were respectable and pleasant. A manager should be on the premises at all times to avoid this awful situation, which spoilt my holiday. I’m all for people enjoying themselves but these men were extremely nasty. Not something you expect in a high class hotel!

First time at Agios Nikolaos and we decided to stay at Nikos seaside. We had really great time, because not only is an amazing hotel by the beach and close to the centre, but we liked their hospitality, kindness, and being helped by great stuff.they helped us,all of them, with anything we wanted.helped us find places,to visit,to eat,to have fun.The truth is that the food at the hotel's restaurant is excellent and the facilities are fantastic.Great place, wonderful view and the the greatest of all,all people who work there.P.s they upgraded over reservation and gave us a room with better view.

The resort is a really good facility. We had a wonderful stay. We just wanted to relax for a short break and this was the perfect place to do that. The staff made the trip, they were all kind and friendly and helped out with anything we needed.

We booked a Superior Deluxe Double Room with a Balcony and Sea View. Located on the lowest floor (2nd floor of 9), immediately above the Hotel entrance. The website photos show rooms overlooking an infinity pool and the sea beyond. Ours was next to the lift and overlooked a busy one-way road, the main road into Agios Nikolaos. We asked to be moved on arrival and we were told the hotel was full and it would not be possible. During our stay, many guests arrived so options were definitely available. The tour operator (EasyJet) did everything they could, but the hotel did not accommodate our request. During our week's stay, we were awoken most nights by coaches dropping off / picking up, and the pinging of the lift. I know that there must be rooms on lower floors and inevitably some will be closer to lifts, but the grandly named "Superior Deluxe" implies something a little more exclusive. I recommend anyone considering this hotel should contact them directly before arrival to request a high floor and pool view (which would give you the sea view anyway) - I believe those better rooms are on floors 5--9, whilst floors 2-4 overlook the road. Perhaps telling, was that we were not asked how we enjoyed our stay on check-out. I suspect they didn't want the conversation in the Reception. A couple of days after we left, I received an email asking for a review - I posted that but cannot see it (or indeed many other negative reviews) on the Accor / Niko Resort site. Reception staff were polite enough, but did not respond well to our request / complaint. The cleaning staff were excellent. Overall, we will not return and we would not recommend.

Having read the mixed reviews, we wasn't expecting this hotel to be fabulous so we were disappointed with our stay. We stayed in a "Deluxe Stunning Sea View" room, which it definitely was, albeit an open plan bathroom is very strange. The plunge pool was warm for the first few days but cold thereafter and not always cleaned. No problems with the light and curtain controls once we understood them. It took a while but patience prevailed. (NB: Curtains can stop / start at any stage). Room was fully cleaned daily, a follow-up visit once or twice later in the day. Greeted every morning for breakfast with a Bucks Fizz and shown to a table. (Or pointed to one, depending who greets you.) There are a vast choice of foods to suit all tastes, it's the same every day, expect hot food to be warm at best. There are approximately 200 rooms but on the 5th floor only 32 pairs of sunbeds so unless you get down there very early with the selfish saddos who save beds, there's no chance of getting one. It appears extra beds have been partially place in the covered bar / restaurant area, not ideal as it could put you off your breakfast but perfect if you want tan stripes as the roof is slatted. There is a 30 minute unattended bed rule in place but not enforced. More chance on the 9th floor, we didn't have a problem there, choosing from approximately 20 pairs of beds which are very comfy. "Beach" across a NOT BUSY road is basically gravel with a handful of beds plus a concrete pontoon that states it's exclusive for the hotel but again, not enforced. The entire design of the hotel is strange, north facing so can lack sun quickly but the right room type has to be chosen when booking because of the layout. Finally, Niko Seaside Reort is in an ideal location, the staff are fantastic throughout....big shout out to the cleaners, bar staff on the 9th Floor and Stella in the restaurant, all of whom are 5 star. However, definitely not worth the price paid and would not return.
