Enjoyed alot, Calm and Quite! The staff were very good, Humble and quick seevice. The rooms were clean although the Air Conditions were not upto the standard. I recommend this hotel for a Traveller to Noth East part of Sri Lanka! The price was cheap, We came here because all the other 4 star hotels were booked. But it was a best choice ever!

We had a lovely oceanfront view at this newish hotel. We were there for three nights at the end of February, which apparently is before”season”. there were two chairs out on the deck to appreciate the view, but it was normally too hot to sit out there. There was also a rack so that you could dry your swimsuits and towels. The room had good air-conditioning, and was well furnished, although the beds were very old and both were so squeaky that it was hard to get a good night sleep. they need to replace the frames or the mattresses or both. Unfortunately, with the incredible view to the beach, they did not keep the windows in the lobby, or in the room is clean to appreciate the view. Desmond, or Contact, and manager at the front desk was very nice, very accommodating, and wanted to take care of us. the evening manager was also nice but I can’t remember his name. Unfortunately, when we wanted to have a beer at 8:30 PM there was nobody to be found, and when we finally did find someone there was no ice either. Hard to believe in a hotel of this size that they don’t even have an ice tray. there was hardly anybody staying at the hotel, and we found out that this hotel is owned and it was easy to tell because the air-conditioning remote was all in Chinese. That being said, what a beautiful beach. The sand is so soft and the water temperature is perfect. There are no rocks on the beach and you can walk very far into the surf without getting into deep water. It would be perfect for children. This is not a sunset beach. It is a sunrise beach. Breakfast was included(but very boring with terrible coffee) but we found a sweet place next-door called Moon Isle that had amazing breakfast for less than ₹2000 and we chose to have all of our breakfast there. I would definitely recommend having meals next-door at Moon Isle, or on the right hand side of the property at a place called Memos Cabanas. Mimmo is a beautiful place to take pictures and have a cool drink and lunch. We did not have dinner there. We also rented motorbikes, but it’s pretty dangerous to drive around.. I would recommend this hotel because the room was comfortable, oceanfront view and the air conditioning worked well.

Cardamon Hotel Nilaveli is Wonderful! It’s located right on the beach so the views from the room are amazing. The room we had was very nice, all made of wood and with a terrace. The staff there was super helpful, they allowed us to do a late check out, and even packed our lunch and kept our water cold. We are very happy we chose Cardamon hotel

The place is great...comfy and really easy going!! Love the fact that they will try to accommodate your plan with arranging Tuk TuK, Boat for whales diving, elephant safari, and even ask what we would like for every meal. The service is just great. We visited during the time that they didn't have many guests...and the staff are not that many...but we didn't feel that we are missing anything!! Everything was perfect!! We would come again for sure!!

Staff are super friendly. Tnx to the housekeeping team for a great job. Restaurant staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Great view right on the beach, and walkable to town. If the hotel is full, they kitchen can’t accommodate ala carte, but if it’s not full they’re happy to make your requests and always check if you like the food which was sweet.

This and five more of them came out after my shower. Avoid this ‚hotel’ as far as you can. I left the hotel after one minute of this event. The hotel is old and probably that is the reason for such suprise. No need to say more.

Hotel in front of a good beach, it is the only good thing it has. Very little care and very dirty. Very spacious rooms but with bad mattresses, quite dirty, with mold in the bathroom and quite old and stained towels. There was no light in the bathroom and despite complaining it was not fixed until our guide protested. Hammocks on the beach with mats that do not invite you to lie down. Breakfast with the possibility of four options but they are all the same and very unappetizing. It has not been a good experience for an idyllic place
