The service is wonderful. You are made to feel like a VIP guest with staff smiling and greeting and offering immediately to help you.
Evening fruit and red bean dessert was a nice treat.
When we requested a room change for a different view we were quickly helped with no bad feelings or sense of inconvenience.
It honestly is one of the best experiences Ive had in hotels.

It was very pleasant experience to stay in the hotel in the middle of the summer. Temperature is lower by 5-10 degree, so it is easier to breathe. Rooms are great, a lot of free space. Beautiful forest views, fresh air and smell of woods. Staff is helpful and respectful, very attentive, especially housekeeper Yujie, language barrier did not stop them (we don't speak Chinese). We also had photoshooting there, photographer is great, so energetic and enthusiastic, he was ready to use translator a lot without hesitation. Recommend to everyone who wants to stay close to nature.

We went to this lovely hotel in the ‘Cloud Forest’ directly after National Holiday with our family of 4 (2 toddlers) and my parents. We had two Songyuan rooms which were totally amazing. Stunning view of the trees and river and extremely spacious and thought out.
In fact the entire resort is beautiful and our kids LOVED the golf cart rides to dinner.
We got very unlucky with weather as it poured the two days we were there but we still managed the walk to Chiang Kai-sheks villa and water feature - which was beautiful and interesting.
On a slightly different note, with a western perspective there were a couple areas for improvement.
Ideally the restaurant menus could be translated to English and left in the rooms (it’s a nightmare trying to translate a menu, pick what to order with 2 hungry kids at a restaurant).
Also, the playroom wasn’t a playroom while we were there which was a big disappointment since it was raining. Not as advertised - just carpet in a room (which the kids did still have fun running around on).
Finally, a good hiking map of the area in the room would have been appreciated too.

The environment was great.
Food a bit pricy.
The hotel room was fabulous and clean.
Hotel service excellent. Prior to your trip the hotel management will call up to inform about weather, arrange for transport to pick up from train station. The price for transport are reasonable. Driver Mr Dan has great driving skill, caring and friendly.

The front desk manager, Ying Chengyuan, was very welcoming and kindly told me that it was snowing. I immediately booked a room to experience it. Sure enough, it snowed heavily on the second day. The service throughout the whole process was also very good. The environment and service were perfect! I will come again next time

This trip was really very happy, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I booked the hotel with the mentality of staying for one night, but I didn't expect the hotel to be worth the money. In particular, the housekeeper Yanan was attentive and thoughtful. She helped us reserve a table before departure, upgraded the room, moved our luggage and sent desserts to us when we arrived at the hotel. When we checked out, she also sent us coffee. It really made the guests feel at home. The hotel's restaurant food is also great. Although there are not many choices, the quality is OK, and the color, aroma and taste are delicious.
