I stayed here when I was touring the Oki Islands and Nishinoshima Island. I had arranged in advance to have them pick me up at Beppu Port, but they didn't come, so I called them after I arrived and had them pick me up. The building is old, but it was once the place where the emperors of Heisei and Reiwa stayed when they were still crown princes. It is built on a small hill, so the view from the large windows in the guest rooms is spectacular. The food was a kaiseki meal with fish as the main dish, and I was full from the fresh fish dishes.
