We stayed here for two nights. What a wonderful place this is! The owners are so friendly and we had house nr 8 which was heavenly. A large outdoor space with view on crocodile river and Kruger. We see hippos and an elephant is passing our deck. You can lounge or even sleep outside. We slept on the comfortable inside bed. Inside space is large and well designed. Airco and fans available.

From the moment we arrived at Elephant Walk Retreat, we knew we were in for something truly special. Danielle from safari creators inplanned our entire trip, and she was an absolute dream—her attention to detail and care made everything seamless. She truly went above and beyond, ensuring our experience was nothing short of perfect. Our private cabin on the river was pure magic. Waking up to the sight of elephants strolling past and hearing the distant grunts of hippos in the river was an experience we will never forget. The surrounding wildlife made us feel completely immersed in nature, yet with all the comforts of a perfect retreat. The property being self-catering was an added bonus. We loved making breakfast while watching the sunrise over Crocodile Bridge, a view so breathtaking it felt surreal. Evenings were just as enchanting, as we gathered around the Braai, enjoying a traditional BBQ under the African sky, with the sounds of the wild as our soundtrack. Every moment at Elephant Walk Retreat was extraordinary, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a private, peaceful, and unforgettable escape into nature, this is the place to be! We cannot wait to return.

Horrible!!!! Bugs in unit!! No top sheet on beds. Couldn't stand thought of the nasty conforter touching me, tried sleeping covered with towel..... Felt unsafe with surroundings (homeless fella lurking around) sliding glass door about to come off track...will never return or recommend

Most horrible accomodation experience we ever had. There were small worms on the bed, between the linen and even under our pillows. There were bats in the grass roof and the whole unit smelled bad even the towels due to bat urine. Bed side lamps didn't work. Sofa was dirty and full of stains. Linen had stains on them and was torn. Cockroach ran over my son while sleeping. We packed up right there at 20:00 and left disgusted en dissapionted. Photos on website doesn't compare to the real thing this is frauding people.

The lodge is ideally located, not far from Komatipoort, its shops and restaurants. next to the Kruger Park's entrance and along the Crocodile River. Its chalets are spread along the river where all animals come and go. We saw and heard many of them and witnessed fantastic sunsets from our terrace. We stayed in the unit called Imvubu, which was perfectly furnished, neat and comfortable. It offered an additional bed and lounge on the terrace that enabled us to experience the Kruger nightlife from a protected shelter. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this unique retreat!

Stayed at Elephant Walk Retreat in March 22 and we were wowed from the moment we arrived. Fantastic location right at the entrance to Kruger, you can´t get any closer! Amazing views of the river where we were lucky enough to have 2 visiting elephants just as we arrived. There is a beautiful swimming pool for you to relax in after a long day in Kruger or even spend the day beside if you fancy having a relaxing day out of the park. Great self catering facilities just a short drive from town where you can stock up on supplies or eat in one of the local restaurants. If you want good priced accommodation with excellent facilities very close to Kruger this should be your no1 choice! Thank you for a great stay and hope to come back again soon!
