A first timer visiting Montigo Resorts. Very near to Ferry Terminal. There’s complimentary bus service to the resort. Once arrive at the resort, the staff will welcome the guests to the resort. They will help to get your passports to check in while having u sitting at the comfortable sofa. Once the room is ready, they will arrange buggy to send u to the room. The room is big! (Was given a free upgrade, Thank You!) The room is a little “old” and a little rundown with dirtied white walls surface on the room. The bed n pillows are too soft. Their room swimming pool has a nice sea view, but the water does not seem to be clean enough as both I and partner develop mild rashes or eczema after a swim. The aircon in the rooms also seem old and it had a hard time trying to cool the room. I had to on the fan. They probably need to refurbish the entire resort to give it a fresh look. Breakfast varieties are not much. Not all the food are nice IMO. Do note that this resort is about 40-50min away from City Centre. U can take a grab around 132,000 to 139,000. However, I must give a 5 star to the service that all the staff had rendered. A whatsapp msg to call for buggy and never once they failed me. They always have a smile at your request. I like their service. 👍 I hope the next time I visit this resort, the resort will have a fresh look. Look forward to their awesome customer service the next time i visit this resort. Cheers :)

Stay away! Prices of a 4 star hotel, 1-star service, 0-star maintenance** We had to move 5 times during our 4 night stay due to terribly maintained villas. On top of that, staff that didn’t appreciate the inconvenience caused to us. Our 4-night family stay (Oct 17–21, 2025) was a nightmare. We were forced to move 5 times due to severe maintenance failures. Day 1: An intoxicated intruder climbed into our villa. Day 2: Rainwater flooded our daughter’s room, soaking her belongings. Day 3: We battled a broken door, then leaking and non-functional AC units. Day 4: After another move, the patio roof collapsed meters from our children in the pool. The resort’s compensation for this series of safety failures was an insulting offer of a 3-hour late checkout or a future one-night stay. Our pre-enlistment family trip was ruined, leaving us shaken and distressed. Details: We booked a 4-night (Oct 17-21, 2025) family trip in a 2-bedroom villa, meant to be a relaxing holiday before my son’s army enlistment. It became one of our worst. Day 1: Arrived 6:30 p.m. My son slept downstairs. At 3:20 a.m., he was terrified by an intruder from the next villa who jumped the short dividing wall and tried to open our patio doors. Noticing my son, the man (who seemed intoxicated) waved, said he "just wanted to say hi," and left. The neighbors had been loud all night. This security breach was unacceptable. I reported it via WhatsApp, and a manager, Juna, moved us to another 2-bedroom villa. Our peace of mind was gone. Day 2: At 8:00 a.m., we found a large puddle in our children's room. Rainwater had seeped through the window, completely drenching our daughter’s suitcase and clothes. I messaged the resort at 8:55 a.m. After five follow-ups, manager Kholid and staff finally arrived at 1:15 p.m. They were reluctant to move us, but with more rain forecasted, we persisted and were moved to a *third* 2-bedroom villa. Day 3: The issues continued. It took 30–45 minutes to convince manager Victor that our new villa's door was faulty. He initially blamed us, claiming we should have reported it earlier, but the door was already open when we were shown the villa. His team finally confirmed it was broken and fixed it. That night, the AC leaked, and units in the master bedroom and living area failed to cool. The next morning, Victor returned, confirmed the downstairs AC was unfixable, and moved us—for the *fourth* time—to a 3-bedroom villa. The family was exhausted and annoyed by the constant disruption. Day 4: The 3-bedroom villa seemed like an upgrade. At 8:00 p.m., while our kids were in the pool, they suddenly shouted. The patio roof outside the bedroom had collapsed, just meters from where they were swimming. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was a dangerous structural failure. We called Victor, who, to his credit, moved us within an hour to our *fifth* villa (a 4-bedroom). By this point, our kids were shaken, and we had lost all confidence in the resort's safety. After the series of incidents we had endured — from security scares to flooding, broken doors, faulty ACs, and finally, a collapsing roof — we expected meaningful compensation. The final offer was either a 3-hour late checkout or a single weekday night complimentary stay. This felt insultingly inadequate given the distress. Our family holiday was a stressful ordeal. In 4 nights, we were moved to 5 villas. The resort's lack of accountability, poor maintenance, and inexcusable safety standards do not match its 4-star prices. We left deeply disappointed and shaken, and we sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously so that no other family has to endure what we did.

Review: I stayed at Montigo Resort Nongsa from 12–14 October 2025. The property itself has potential — large villas, private pools, a scenic location and a solid spa — but service and operations were far below 5-star expectations. Check-in chaos: I arrived around 1 p.m., knowing check-in was officially at 3 p.m. The WhatsApp concierge could not confirm when my room would be ready and repeated the standard “from 3 p.m.” line. Even at 3 p.m., rooms weren’t ready; only at 3:15 I was told mine was done. Passing through the property meant walking around construction debris and unclean areas. It then took another hour for my luggage to arrive because reception and the delivery staff didn’t coordinate. Facilities: The spa experience itself was excellent — professional therapists and clean facilities — but a crane and excavator were operating right next to the wellness area during opening hours. Hardly relaxing. One of the two main restaurants (the seafood one) was closed without prior notice, which is quite a let-down at a seaside resort. Service & dining issues: At breakfast, my table was dirty. When the staff dropped cutlery while cleaning, they simply put it back on the table until I pointed it out — not exactly 5-star behavior. I also scheduled a spa appointment with the buggy service 40 minutes in advance as advised; it was confirmed on WhatsApp but never showed up, so I walked 15 minutes to the spa myself. Villa issues: Each villa has a private pool, but the water-pump system is placed right beside the outdoor seating area, producing a constant droning sound throughout the day. When I asked, staff replied, “that’s how it is, the pump is needed for the pool.” Conclusion: The potential is there — great concept, solid spa, nice sea view — but the service culture, coordination, and attention to detail are missing. This stay felt more like a 3-star experience wrapped in a 5-star price tag.

We had an amazing stay at Montigo Resort Nongsa! The villa was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect for a relaxing escape from the city, with stunning sea views and peaceful surroundings. We especially loved the private pool and the resort’s amenities — everything was top-notch. Highly recommended for a getaway with friends or family. Would definitely come back again!

Nice sea view for all the rooms, relaxing to just chill in room. Breakfast spread is average, other meals can be a bit expensive. Can give the Jap restuarant a miss, the sashimi came a bit frozen, and all the food portion is very miserable.

The room was stunning and cozy, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making my stay truly special. Everything exceeded my expectations — I will definitely come back again!
