Netanya Noosa Beachfront Resort

The main reason we booked this hotel was its inclusion in Amex’s Hotel Collection. Although the location was perfectly beachfront, there were some disappointing amenities and experiences that should have more transparency and flexibility. It was almost 9pm when we arrived and ended up driving up the hill into the residences as the signage is easy to miss and driving on one way streets on the opposite side was the most daunting task of our trip. When the front desk emailed the day before prior to arrival, it indicated that our 2 bedroom apt (originally booked as a Hasting) was a “beachfront apartment”. Considering it was low season right after the cyclone passed and we checked in on a Tuesday, our hopes were high that the room upgrade was granted. Upon entering the apartment, it was clear that this was not the case. In the Amex letter describing the benefits, it furthermore listed that the amenities of the resort credit were already pre-determined: rental/use of the cabana and wooden games, 4 coffee vouchers for up to 5 AUD, a netanya hat and beach bag. These offerings don’t seem commensurate to the typical $100 USD resort credit offered at other locations. We would have appreciated an alternative as it was raining during our 2 night stay and option for food/beverage credit instead of merchandise. Beach towels and extra blankets and pillows were plentiful in the cabinets however the bath towels were not. The following morning, we noticed that the housekeeping carts were essentially locked cages of towels; bit bizarre as there were more beach towels than bath towels. We did appreciate the late checkout which was one of the Amex benefits.

We keep coming back every March and love it, great pool and right on the beach and Hastings Street. Perfect spot to enjoy all Noosa offers. March is an excellent time to go as the weather is always warm and the nights are not too cool. We will keep coming back

As usual a great experience - the location is perfect, the staff and service are amazing, and the rooms top class. We have been coming to Netanya since the 1980's and have seen it in all its iterations - the current one is its best yet and we look forward to another visit in 2026.

We had the most beautiful five days at Netanya Noosa. Exceptionally friendly staff, spotlessly clean room with everything provided to make our stay comfortable. Gorgeous pool area with lots of loungers and shade umbrellas. Providore was very handy for provisions and drinks. We had been looking forward to this break, just the two of us, after a very busy year and Netanya made it more than we could have hoped for. Cannot recommend highly enough. Deserves 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Netanya. We will be back as soon as we can.

Wonderful winter weekend. Lots of space in the one bedroom plus roof terrace accomodation. Well appointed with all requirements net. Bedroom at the back allows for a dark, peaceful sleep whilst the terrace is drenched in sunshine. Strange shower configuration however it does seem to work.

This was my first visit since Netanya re-opened post renovation; I was underwhelmed. And to be honest expecting more, especially as this is now the most expensive room choice available on the beach, by a lot. The interior of the room is already looking worn; the kitchen cupboard/drawer handles paint is wearing off, the room shutters are wonky, the air filter in the bathroom is filthy and the fancy electric blinds keep rolling over and over until you halt them. The configuration remains unchanged and awkward. The bathroom in particular is oddly angled and no part of it is big enough to accomodate more than one person at a time. The bedroom shutters (even if they were wonky) are insufficient to block out the walkway flood lights meaning the room is at very best dim, and certainly not dark for sleepy time. The windows facing the street need to be double glazed - Hastings Street is noisy, all of the time. The garbage truck presumably woke everyone in Netanya up, and any possibility of resumed slumber was staccatoed away by guests + staff moving along the previously flood lit walkways. The are insufficient pool lounge's, with a giant empty lawn adjacent to the pool. Additional umbrella's + chairs there would make better use of that space. The location is excellent - which is why Netanya will continue.
