Das Mobiliar ist veraltet und abgegriffen. Kühler Empfang, sowie Check-out. Zimmer zur Straße sind tierisch laut. Einzelzimmer haben extrem kleine Betten und das Frühstück ist bei jedem Bäcker um die Ecke besser. Ich werde hier nicht mehr nächtigen.

Das Hotel ist in den 80er Jahren stehengeblieben. Möbel und Teppiche sind ziemlich alt. Es hat zwar Charme auf eine Weise aber der Teppich, mit Flecken übersät, hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße, das hat uns den Aufenthalt verleidet. Es ist viel Verkehr 24 Stunden lang. Da es sehr heiß war, mussten wir das Fenster offen lassen, an Schlaf war nicht zu denken. Das Frühstück war ganz gut. Das Rührei war etwas totgebraten, ansonsten eine schöne Auswahl, sehr leckeres Brot, richtig frisch gebacken. Der Kaffee schmeckt auch, leider wird er, auch 80er Jahre, im Porzellan Kännchen gereicht. Das war die 2. Tasse schon kalt. Die Mitarbeitenden waren alle sehr freundlich.

Es war zwar nur eine Zwischenübernachtung auf der Durchreise zurück nach Hause, aber wir waren sehr angenehm überrascht. Obwohl erst in den späten Abendstunden angereist, wurden wir sehr Herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war sehr angenehm und das Frühstück am Sonntagmorgen sehr reichlich. Sollte es uns wieder einmal in diese Gegend verschlagen, werden wir sehr gern wieder im Friesenhof übernachten. Gern auch etwas länger. An das sehr freundliche Personal geht ein großer Dank.

Wir fliegen sehr häufig von Hamburg ab, um Urlaub zu machen. Jedes Mal kehren wir vor- und nach der Reise im Friesenhof ein. Das Personal ist immer freundlich, die Zimmer sehr sauber und das Frühstück einfach perfekt. Selbst jetzt, zu Zeiten der Pandemie, haben wir uns nach unserer Rückkehr aus Südafrika dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Zwar wurden uns alle notwendigen Unterlagen wie aktuelle PCR-Tests und Impfzertifikate abverlangt und im Frühstücksraum wurde auf Hygiene und Abstand geachtet, aber das tat der Wohlfühlatmosphäre keinen Abbruch. Deshalb möchten wir uns an dieser Stelle einmal herzlich bedanken.
