Really lovely, comfortable hotel with a 1920's theme from an area that was part of East Germany before Germany was unified. We had a very pleasant stay and the breakfast was magnificent. Not sure what people do in the town but we were only stopping for the one night as we travelled across Germany and this area was our halfway point.

Stayed 2 nights. Good location to railway difficult to access by car. Although once aware easy. Paid Car €15 per night to park few minutes walk. Reception is, in bar area and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Good free WIFI, and paid car parking. There is nice breakfast place next door to hotel. Bedroom was very spacious very clean with TV. 1 comfortable very large 2 single bed clean. Bathroom is ensuite and very clean with toiletries. No coffee making facilities in room. Would highly recommend and would stay again, especially if visiting for train rides, as only 1 minute walk across the road

A really stylish hotel, very pleasant experience breakfast was OK, but the evening meal was a not so brilliant, asking for Rösti potatoes we were given hash browns, not the same thing at all, looked like the Tesco's ones we can get at home.

I had a great one-night stay at the Hotel Nordauser Furstenhof. It is just across the street from the train station and easy to get to with rolling luggage. The room was clean and comfortable, but the decor felt a little like traveling back in time to East Germany. The breakfast was wonderful and just what you would expect from a good German hotel. The front desk staff were kind and helpful and I had no problems during my short stay.

Very good location, just across the main station and very close to the Harz Schmalspur Bahn, which was the reason of our visit. It was clean, unfortunately restaurant was not open when we were there. Worth to visit their bar and try some local liquors.

Bereits zum zweiten Mal haben wir im Fürstenhof übernachtet. Das Haus ist im Stil der 1920er Jahre gehalten, mit vielen Fotos aus der Zeit, z.B vom damals berühmten Haus Vaterland in Berlin. Auch die Zimmer sind nach Persönlichkeiten aus der Zeit benannt, unseres diesmal nach Gustav Stresemann. Alles schön gemacht, ordentlich und sauber. Das Personal war vom Empfang, über die Restauration bis zum Zimmermädchen sehr freundlich. Parken kann man im eigens neu modernisierten Parkhaus. Und ganz toll fanden wir, daß für unseren Hund nicht nur eine Pauschale berechnet wurde, sondern dafür auch ein Hundebett und Schüsselchen bereitgestellt wurden. Sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück im ausnehmend schönen Restaurant Charlies war auch Klasse. Wir checken gerne wieder ein.

Nettes Haus sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet und nettes Personal ,schönes Frühstück aber sehr teuer, zentral gelegen, atmosphäre ist nett, 20 Jahre stiel, es fehlt ein Pool, Zimmer sind nett, etwas laut aber okay bar vorhanden und Parkplätze

Für Hotelgäste unterirdischer Service, leider in den letzten 3 Jahren je ähnlich erlebt, betrifft den Frühstücks- und Gastrobereich. Details gebe ich dem Inhaber gerne im Detail an die Hand. Stand heute, unsere letzte Buchung. Wir waren 3 Jahre in Folge zu Weihnachten da.
