It is a resort hotel with a large yard and beautiful scenery. There is a swimming pool, which is very comfortable in summer. There is a small bar in the evening where you can have a drink, but it is a bit remote. The breakfast variety is a bit limited.

Easy to find. Parking a short distance from entrance. If you are in anyway disabled you can drop off my main entrance but cannot park.
There is no lift in the hotel so if disabled you are going to need to ask for a ground floor room. I didn't know there was no lift so they had to quickly change my top floor room to ground floor room. They did this effortlessly despite being fully booked.
The room smelt unpleasant so I kept window open and used air freshener.
There was no remote for the TV and when they found a spare remote, the TV didn't work. They brought in a second TV and the manager was a hilarious man who made me roar with laughter as he tried to resolve the issues.
The food was good. I stayed two days. I would come back.

So very basic. The radiator didn’t work in the room and they replaced it with a tiny one. The room was very old fashioned. TV was very tiny and the bed was positioned very close to a window. A loud beeping sound in the hallway kept her up in the morning. My Nan was disabled and had to climb to the back of the hotel to her room as all other rooms seemed to be booked up. No lift and everything was old and outdated. It’s okay for a short stay but for a basic stay, it didn’t seem very comfortable. It would have been a nicer experience with a better room, I think!

I like this hotel and have stayed here a few times. It is well located near Blackburn just off the M65 at junction 5. The on site pub is nice and there are also numerous places nearby where you can socialise and eat and drink.
The room is of a high standard and modern, the bathroom is more than adequate for shaving or doing makeup properly. The room was warm and comfortable even though it was quite cold outside.
Check-in is straight forward and handled in the adjoining pub. Once you have checked in your key card gives you access into the hotel accommodation. There is a night porter available when the pub is closed but you won't see staff in the hotel accomodation apart from housekeepers in the morning so it's useful if a little discretion is required.

I love the Holiday Inn chain of hotels and the great standard it sets but I really wish they had a fridge in their rooms as I’m a diabetic and it would be nice to be able to my medicine in the fridge my son stayed at a hotel who was half the price and they had a fridge.moan over, we had breakfast and it was delicious the beds were comfortable and the overall standard is very good and the staff are very professional
