Have stayed here for many years, but not the last 2 years because of lousy service. Recently they made many upgrades to the furniture, appliances, amenities, etc. That being said, they have some new TVs, but visuals are blurry and still many frozen stations. They supposedly upgraded their internet, but I could still NOT get on! I called the front desk and was told "Ours is fine down here." Who cares?! The people paying higher rates have no service! So with all of the upgrades, service still sucks!

This place and Manager Brad is awful!!! We stayed for a cheer comp. My daughter found a cockroach the first night we were in the room. I turned out the lights in the kitchen and waited several cock roaches appeared. We chose to sleep with the lights on. In the morning the couple who booked are room went to speak to the front desk about the issue, they offered to switch us to a smaller room. If cock roaches are in 1 room they are most likely in multiple rooms. My daughter is extremely allergic to cockroach dander and ended up leaving with my mom that evening due to becoming stuffy coughing and itchy ( she did not know about the roaches and she’s 7) we had to finish our stay at this hotel bc of the competiton setting us up with the hotel. We were told nothing more could be done until management came in: Monday morning we refused to leave until Brad called or came to speak with us about the situation. He did eventually call and said that he couldn’t do anything until he made some phone calls. When he returned our call he said that it’s “ a you problem bc you chose not to switch rooms” I explained to him that the room they offered would not have been big enough for our group 6 couples and 4 girls. He said that this room is the only one with issues and we should have switched rooms. If this is the only room in the hotel with cock roaches WHY IN THE WORLD would you want us to pack up our stuff and spread the roaches to another room. They did not have a way to split us in to multiple rooms and again why would you want our stuff to spread to other rooms. When we got home we had to bomb our cars plus leave our stuff outside luckily temps were below 20 degrees then after 2 days take it to a laundry mat to dry on high heat then wash everything. I had to call our bug guy to come out a month early to try to prevent any issues at home. They could have refunded partial payment for the room. The lack of care was insane. Brad should find a new job! Customer service is not it! I do feel sorry for housekeeping bc we left the ones we found under cups.

I contacted Montego Bay to book a room/pool day during the winter. A female operator answered the phone her name was Jude. She was sooooo incredibly rude I said never mind we will stay somewhere else. She stated if you are staying your can use the pool and hot tube 7 days a week. I asked if the slides were open also, being we had kids that were going to be with us... she said " didn't I specifically say pool and hot tub" ? That's why I said that! in a nasty condescending voice/tone. I said Jude you do not have to be rude to me for asking a question! I am going to book a stay somewhere else, where they know how to speak to their customers. I would love contact the manager but no contact available. Just booked another hotel.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! The room was decent, but the hotel was old and outdated. The Wifi was down both days we were there, which also meant no TV. Upon checking out, I asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn't in. Okay, I get it, it was a Sunday morning. The desk person was very dismissive and unconcerned, not just to me but to others checking out. When asked, he gave me the manager's first name only, but reluctantly took a message for the manager to call me. I wasn't hopeful, and sure enough, no call. Since then (Nov. 12th), I have called four times and have been told "the manager isn't in". Each time, I have left a message with no response. The receptionist answering the phone seems sympathetic, and by now I feel she has been coached to "screen" my calls.

I would never stay here again. It’s disgusting. Everything in it needs to be updated, the first room I was in the AC didn’t work. The thermostat was duct taped and hanging off the wall. I switch to an equally disgusting room, the Ac worked but the refrigerator did not. Everything in there is worn , dirty and deteriorating. The sofa was filthy. The carpet was dirty and ripped, stained ceiling tiles. The worst was the pull out bed. I don’t expect much from a pull out bed but do expect it to be usable and not rusted and torn/ripped. It was appalling and made for uncomfortable sleeping since it was not useable. The towel rack was broken and useless with towels falling on the floor. An old qtip was wedge near the door where the dirt carpet didn’t line up. First and last time I would ever stay here. I would give no stars but staff front desk were all very nice and understanding when I complained about the broken a/c or had general questions/interactions.

I don’t know where to start but definitely this place is rundown and need remodeling and tremendous cleaning No paper towel, no good utensils and no dishwasher Pillows are flat like biscuits and beds are with spring mattress like back old days

I was so hesitant to book this resort after reading these reviews. I don't know what resort they were staying at, but we had an excellent time here at Montego Bay resort. The room was spotless. No bugs detected, living or dead. Housekeeping came in daily to make the beds, straighten, take trash and bring clean towels. The weather was not great so the indoor water park was a very nice perk. We will absolutely stay here again.

Where do I start? The place was a mess. The walls had holes punched through them. Something that resembled blood was on the wall and curtains. The comforter had an old blood stain on the inside of it. The carpet was filthy and while we were there they never vacuumed. When I complained they gave me a free breakfast and dinner for the restaurant but the coupon was only for a limited menu. When housekeeping came daily they took away the used towels but didn’t replace them. I had to keep asking for replacements. I was told by the manager that the place was going to undergo work in the winter. Not helpful for me and my stay there. I would never stay here!

Been going here for years and this last stay although for a short one was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. First off superior ocean view is what we reserved, when we got there the fridge door was jammed between the counter top and wall making it hard to open the door also the sliding door handle was ready to fall off. We put in a call at front desk to let them know about the issues, they sent a maintenance man who looked at the door handle tried to tighten it up and says i'll be back with a new one and the fridge he just acknowledged ,and did nothing. The guy never came back, so when we checked out we let them know at the front desk about the guy not returning and they says sorry he probably got busy. We may be looking for different accommodations next year!
