Room introduction The tea garden visit in the package is a complete routine of promotion. The promotion activity of visiting this old tea factory lasted more than an hour, and more than four hours were wasted! There are good and bad differences in the five small houses in this group. Be careful. In addition, call the hotel one day in advance. Please confirm with Ctrip whether this phone can be dialed! The hotel waiter has a very good attitude!

British-style villa, the bathroom is so beautiful! Enjoy the beautiful scenery alone, the swimming pool view is very good, and the hot water bath is very comfortable! The butler-style service is very commendable. We discuss food with guests every day and arrange where to go as much as possible. Every aspect is satisfying!

It’s such a perfect hotel. I have to go back and stay for a few more days to express my love for this hotel. It creates a hideaway between Tea Mountain and Bihu Lake. The food is worthy of being a classic product of Relais & Châteaux.

Wonderful people, can’t be more attentive. Hidden in the mountains, remember to stay in Summerville. Staff samantha et al made it a really good two nights. Highly recommended

We absolutely loved this property and would love to return. We stayed in a garden suite in Castlereigh which was just beautiful, I absolutely loved the private garden. The setting is simply stunning and the food is incredible. We had a wonderful stay. The only thing I would change if possible is the room doesn’t have air conditioning, which being British, we struggled with as the Sri Lankan heat can be quite intense.

Absolutely amazing! We were a family of four (kids are 7 and 3) and we had an incredible time. We stayed in Tientsin Bungalow. Everything about it was great. The grounds of the Bungalow were absolutely beautiful, the hospitality of the staff was faultless and the food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. There were so many personal touches I appreciated, for example it was our son’s third birthday while we were there and they made a personalised chocolate cake for him, decorated the table and sung happy birthday. Also every morning at 6am they’d bring a coffee to the room as I would get up to go for a run through the tea trails. There was hardly anyone staying there when we were there so sometimes we had the place to ourselves. Would definitely recommend and would love to be back some day :) The only thing I’d recommend is make sure if you use a private driver they know where your bungalow is . The bungalows are all located a few kilometres apart (which I did not realise) and initially we were taken to the wrong bungalow. This also happened to another guest.

There are five different locations making up the Tea Trails "hotel". This review relates to the Castlereagh Bungalow only, we did not see the others. We stayed two nights in a Garden Suite. There was some confusion on location and jhow to find the correct venue. In fact we had to find Summerville Bungalow and were taken across the lake by private boat to the Castlereagh side, as apparently the road around is long, windy, and bumpy The charming bungalow has only five rooms (perhaps six). The vibe is old colonial and personal service. There are no room keys for example, which is lovely. The stay is all inclusive including wine and spirits, and all designed to make you feel like you are a plantation owner The butler, Janaka, ensures everything is set up for a relaxing time and catering for your every need. The chef will suggest menus for lunch and dinner, and amend according to your likes and dislikes. And he can cook well, we absolutely loved the Sri Lankan meal he created with nine different curry dishes. The decor, of the room and the public areas is fully old world charm. The views over the gardens and lake are beautiful. I can recommend the tour of the nearby tea factory, where the guide is knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot and were not bored in the slightest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hove no hesitation recommending Tea Trails

Stayed two nights in this beautifully restored remote tea planters bungalow in the heart of the tea plantations . The location is magnificent and grounds impeccably kept .The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you . The food was excellent and the chef obliging in preparing anything you wanted . A visit to the local tea factory is a must . Would definitely return .
