We used it as a ski lodge. We were glad to have dinner and breakfast once each. We asked for them again the other three days, but they declined. It would have been nice if they had provided two meals for all nights, as it's a pain to go into town to eat after skiing. It would have been perfect if the room had a toilet and a sink. Considering the price, it was an excellent lodge and we would like to use it again next time.
The road to the lodge was just wide enough for one car. It was a tough 7-minute walk up the slope from the lodge to the slopes. It's a traditional ski resort in Nozawa Onsen, in the city, so I guess it can't be helped.
