Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge

Did you ever find a place which is so good you hesitate to review it, in case it becomes so popular that everyone goes there and you cannot get in? Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge and Villa is one of those places. There are many reasons why it gets such great reviews. This is a family run hotel and a wonderful place to stay on the main island of Bora Bora. It is spotlessly clean, they even sweep up the fallen flower blossoms every morning to keep the grounds looking neat. The owners and staff are really welcoming and friendly, and very helpful. It is in a convenient location, and is quiet, and comfortable. This was my second stay here and I would not stay anywhere else on Bora Bora. For what you would pay for one of the fancy resorts, you can stay here, rent a car, go on tours, and dine at some really good restaurants. And still come out ahead. Instead of being restricted by staying at the resorts which are not on the main island, you can stay here and explore the island at your own pace, pick up the ingredients for picnic lunches at the local supermarkets, and eat at your choice of places from French style restaurants to the local "roulottes" (food trucks). This is in my opinion the best value on Bora Bora.

We highly recommend this place and will certainly return. I booked directly with the lodge, and our communications with Maheata were efficient and timely. She welcomed us upon arrival and was always available when we needed anything. She even helped us arrange our excursion. We were very happy with our stay. It was clean, comfortable and kudos to the staff for their upkeep and maintenance, especially the pool. The location is 2 kms approx. from Vaitape. The closest restaurant is the Bora Bora Yacht club ( which was very nice).

We would have loved to stay longer! Everything was great! The host cared for us and made us feel at home. Great breakfast served on the balcony! Wonderful big room with everything you need. Wonderful pool, flowers and trees. Nearby restaurant where we saw great Polynesian dance. The drinks and food was ok, not great. We went on a great tour and saw whales with babies, coral garden (amazing) and sting rays

This place is awesome. The price is reasonable and we were not "stuck" at an expensive resort-your meals and activities will be $$$$. The host is a native and exceptionally helpful. We rented a car and went into town to buy fresh bread and explore the wonderful beaches. I would much prefer to intermingle with natives, whom language I do not share, than be at a hotel with all tourists. We booked diving and snorkel adventures that we will never forget. I hope you get to enjoy an amazing experience like we did.

I loved my stay at Bora Bora lodge. It’s located perfectly for all the main island activities and points of interest: Vaitape, the yacht club, and Matira beach (the beach club and of course, Bloody Mary’s). You can also do a cool, little hike to two of the WWII canons from here. The design and layout of the lodges are great. My room was lovely, clean and comfortable. But what made it for me, was the host - Maheata. She is fabulous! I cannot sing her praises highly enough. She invests in her guests with a personal touch. From the moment I booked my accommodation to the moment I left, she went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed: taking the time to understand what I wanted to do and coming up with suggestions, searching and booking tours and rental cars, and always being friendly and available! Mauruuru Maheata! When I return to Bora Bora (I’m definitely am coming back!), I will most definitely stay here again.

We have rented a triple room for three days. The room is n practise small. Shower, airco and beds are new and spotless. The swimmingpool and setting is nice, but lacks some extra sun beds. There are only two which we found a bit strange. Poo, towels are provided. We noticed that the materials used for construction are solid and not the cheapest and all works fine. Solar panels on the roof. The airco is quiet. Our room (manuia 3) room was located below a family apartment. The family fwith two very noisy kids that rented this apratment during our staywas very present, also in the pool. it was at the end annoying. They also smoked a lot, even when they used the smoking spot, the smoke went to our small terrace., so this doesnt really work. Bad luck, but it can happen. We decided not to take the breakfast for 2500 XPF pp as the room was with approx 240 EUR excluding breafast per day plus a single transfer to the airport for 2500 XPF for a 3 km ride allrady no real value for money. Aller and retour tp Matira beach for XFP 5000 . What did I think when I booked it....... The nearest supermarkt is 3 km away. So you need to rent a bike or a car. Plates. cutlery, glasses and cups as well as instant coffee/creamer is provided. no daily houskeeping (on request at extra charge). Washing of dishes to be done in bathroom section with sponge and liquid and towel provided. Inconvenient. The wifi connection was not acceptable for us. My wife needs to work sometimes and some applications couldnt be opened. I am sure this can be improved. So either use a local sim card and mobil connection or select another location/room. Maheata (host) is very smart and helpfull, Please add up all cost before you book the room and take into account the cost for car/bike rental/breakfast.
