The lodge itself is beautiful, with a fantastic view and lovely common areas like the dining room, terrace, bar, and pool. The rooms are also nice, but they feel a bit outdated—especially the bathrooms. In our room, the toilet was not properly mounted to the floor, making it unstable, and the water tank made extremely loud, whistling noises when refilling, which was quite disturbing at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. However, I am deducting two stars: one because of the outdated bathroom (see above), and another due to our experience in the gift shop. We bought 12 stamps for postcards to Europe and paid the correct postage (about 5500 UGX per stamp), but were given stamps worth only 400 UGX each. Unfortunately, we only noticed this much later, when trying to send the postcards at a post office. Overall, a beautiful lodge with great service, but some improvements are needed, especially in the rooms and in guest services like the gift shop.

This historic lodge on the banks of the Nile is a very stately beautiful accommodation. The service was above and beyond. We were so very impressed. The safari was scheduled to be 3 hours, but the team stayed out an extra hour to seek out the elusive big cats, with success.

We finished our trip to Uganda with a wonderful stay at The Paraa Lodge. Rolfe and his team are super friendly, and the accommodations are comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the pool with the swim-up bar and gorgeous views of the Nile River. The location in the Murchison Falls National Park is perfect. Our game drive started as soon as we left the property. Don't miss the river cruise to see hippos and the base of Murchison Falls.

Really dated old lodge. Bathroom ceiling was leaking, no drinking water served in the restaurant, swimming pool had a bunch of residents who were playing loud music on a speaker, the bar was serving stale red wine from a bottle opened a while ago….don’s stay here there are many other lodges in the area

We stayed at Paara for three nights. The staff was excellent! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was great, especially their soup! The staff was very attentive and met you in the morning in the lobby with early coffee, for those early morning game drives. I would definitely stay here again

This hotel sat in a lovely location. Beautiful views. Not a modern hotel but it is very comfortable and everywhere is very clean. The staff were extremely helpful. The buffet was very good great selection. The bar was comfortable and service very good. The outside area was lovely with a lovely pool

Great hotel - large spacious rooms. Amazing outside space. Lovely gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Highly recommended. It was the gateway to an amazing adventure in Ugandas Murchison Falls and the beginning of a great holiday

My friend and I stayed at Paraa for 2 nights in August. The lodge was well located with each room having a beautiful view of the Nile River! The lodge has a beautiful pool and bar area overlooking the river as well. The location was super convenient for exploring Murchison Falls NP – we saw lions with a kill just 5 minutes from the lodge, and elephants walking through the staff lodging! The staff at Paraa was great and always greeted us with a warm welcome home! The only constructive feedback would be that the food was just okay – it was buffet style which sometimes left it not as warm as I would prefer, and I would have loved more protein options. But definitely not a deal breaker, I would stay here again without hesitation!

A nice enough hotel for an overnight. We stayed for three nights. Great laundry service, great pool, but the food was the same buffet every day for both Lunch and Dinner. They need more variety. The staff works hard, and the grounds are nice but how much Dal can one person eat?
