The Townhouse Strand

We stayed in The Townhouse. A very disappointing stay. No money spent on this premises. Mattresses extremely uncomfortable, bathrooms very outdated & ours was actually quite dirty. No black out blind for light. We love Dunmore East but could not recommend this accommodation

I recently stayed at the Strand Townhouse in Dunmore East and, unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing experience. The house is old and drab, lacking the charm you might expect from a place in Dunmore East. The rooms were especially underwhelming, with noticeable deficiencies in quality and comfort. One of the biggest issues was the noise. The hotel is located in a busy area, and the constant traffic noise made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. While the location is indeed convenient and close to various attractions, this advantage is overshadowed by the poor condition of the accommodations. There are likely better options available in Dunmore Easing that offer more comfort.

I would not recommend staying here at all. Antiquated, small rooms. Dingy bathrooms. No social space. Booked for 2 nights, left after 1. They did not charge us. It’s unfortunate there is not good accommodation in this lovely village. The restaurants are fantastic. Best Seafood in Ireland

The king sized bed was far too big for room 4, as the wardrobe door barely opened enough to get your hand in. The shower could not be regulated, so cooked alive or cold was your option. The toilet made a screeching noise refilling, which lasted for minutes. The furniture was dingy. The mirror in the toilet was too high for an average person. I could hear scratching in the partition wall during the night. The whole building urgently need a complete upgrade. I would not stay in the Town House again. However, breakfast in the Strand Inn was excellent and the staff were first class. I would definately stay in the Strand Inn. Declan
