Let me begin by saying that the front desk personnel and staff members that we encountered were very pleasant and professional. Over the years, I have stayed at many Choice Hotels and this hotel is one of the most disappointing. The lobby and breakfast area are fairly nice but the rooms we were in were very sad, badly in need of some serious cleaning and updating. The door locks are almost inoperable and there is a lot of highway noise. Also, most of the hotel was occupied by guests participating in a weekend-long pool tournament hosted at the facility. We didn’t have any specific issues with the pool players except that groups of them were congregated at the main entrance, smoking and leaving cigarette butts, each time we entered or exited. The hotel is located in a sort of business park area so there didn’t appear to be any eateries or gas stations nearby. However, the hotel does have a bar and restaurant on site.
