Friendly reception and detailed introduction. 4 well organised and maintained campsites, with own ablution. Upon arrival super clean and cleaned every day. 2 self drive routes with good sightings. I will certainly come back!

We arrived late and had booked 2 evening meals. This we changed to 6 at the last minute to include family who were camping. Staff stayed late and we had a great meal with friendly service.

Will definitely recommend Omatuzo. However, we did not like the idea that we had to share a dinner table with total strangers. Perhaps separate tables for separate bookings?

We enjoyed a fantastic weekend getaway at Omatozu Safari Camp, located just 25 km outside Okahandja. Our group of 12 booked two campsites, and we couldn’t have been happier with the setup. Each campsite comes with its own private ablution block, ensuring comfort and convenience for all guests. The sites are also beautifully shaded by plenty of trees, creating a serene and relaxing environment that’s perfect for unwinding. Omatozu Safari Camp is an ideal spot for anyone looking to escape into nature while still enjoying well-maintained facilities. Highly recommended for families and groups!

It was a pleasure to stay one night at Omatozu. The camp place is wide, with a fire place, electricity, bathroom and nature around us.

This is a very quiet place to stay as we returned from Etosha to Windhoek. The dinner was excellent, well prepared by the chef, and no complaints at all - beautifully cooked beef steaks. Breakfast was also good. We were disappointed to discover the self-drive trails referred to on the website were actually an additional expense. The website needs to make that clearer. We had arrived mid-afternoon, expecting we could then do the self-drive trails to see animals in the late afternoon, and then again the next morning before departure, but then discovered they were only available at an additional fee of $NAD400 per vehicle per day. We were not willing to pay an additional $800NAD for our intended plans, on principle, so didn't drive around the property. Having spent several days in Etosha, we felt the self-drive fees in Omatozu were unlikely to deliver many animal encounters that we had not already experienced. The farm dam is dry so there were no animals near the tented camp. We saw three springbok and one giraffe as the total wildlife experience during the 4km drive from the B1 roadway to the camp and back to the B1 the next day. A manmade waterhole is set up within the campgrounds though it's next to one specific campsite which was in use, so other campers and tented site visitors were not easily able to access that water trough to view any visiting animals. Great for that one campsite though! The tent was lovely - the floor is stone, the bathroom is brick and timber, and well-lit. There are rooftop flaps that could be opened so you could lie in bed and watch the stars and moon through the flywire netting from your bed.

Omatozu was exactly what we were looking for to end our trip in Namibia. It was in easy striking distance of Windhoek and the airport. The property was quiet and the tents had excellent facilities and were immaculately clean. It was a small team running the property and they gave a real sense that they cared about the property and customers. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious. We enjoyed basking in the Namibian sun by the pool on our last day in the country. Thank you very much to give us such a wonderful end to our trip.
