The best Sunday Roast ever! Perfectly cooked & served with a smile! Huge plate, wonderful selection of vegetables, crispy, fluffy roast potatoes. Lamb & beef were delicious. All in all a lovely lunch at a great price! The Union Inn is in a great setting with beautiful countryside views.

We arrived just as a Wake was gathering! Despite that, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room, which was as described, although looking in need of freshening up. We understand a refurb is planned later this year, which will certainly make the place more inviting. We did a lovely circular walk into Windsor, returning via the Long Walk with an exit just a few hundred yards from the Union Inn. As we neared the end we looked forward to showers, so were disappointed to find no hot water in our room. We reported the problem and staff investigated. After two hours we were told a plumber would be out after breakfast. Whilst this was a tad inconvenient, we were treated very well by the Landlady who personally cooked and served us breakfast; she introduced us to her delightful Kite feeding routine and for our inconvenience said there would be no charge for our stay. We offered to pay for breakfast, but she refused to accept. A situation that could’ve resulted in an overall bad experience ended with us booking to return again in September, when we’re promised the water will be hot!! Thanks for looking after us so well.

Fantastic local pub and inn. Stayed overnight with the wife. Got there around 330pm. Had a beer at the bar and didn’t leave until around 9pm. Everybody had time to stop and have a chat. Full of characters and just a great atmosphere. Tess runs it and she’s a fantastic lady. Nothing was too much. Chef off but she cooked us some lovely food. Also cooked a great breakfast the following day. Told us so much about the area and the pub. Felt like we were locals by the time we left. We would definitely recommend this pub if you like genuinely nice people. Will be back.

The advert boasts 4 star hotel but I would give it a 3 star. It would have been 2 star if it wasn't for the really lovely landlady Tessa. The landlord wasn't very friendly but Tessa is a 'peoples person's who is a real asset to the business The place is rundown, wooden rotting window frames in need of paint, venetian blind not working, only 1 bedside lamp ( not working), laminate coming off on side of unit, shower door fell off when I opened it (they fixed it), shower tray split, hot water in sink but only a trickle coming out. Despite the above faults the bed was comfy & the room was warm 24 hrs. Tessa does a lovely ' full English ' breakfast and was a joy to talk to. They are apparently awaiting a refurb & extension subject to council approval.

Could not fault the landlady or the bar maid! Made our stay a very positive one! They couldn’t do enough for you, very family friendly with my little boy! Breakfast was lovely! Nice and close to the wedding we were attending! Thanks again!!!!

Friendly staff, delicious food and very comfortable room. We have had a wonderful stay. Lovely walk into Windsor. Land lady and all staff have been so kind and welcoming! We would highly recommend The Union Inn and will definitely re-visit. Thank you!
