I was expecting a nice camp but Finch Hatton far exceeded my expectations! The service was impeccable and our room was absolutely spectacular. The whole camp brings an old world luxury charm that is certainly unsurpassed by anything I’ve experienced before. Thank you to William who was extremely helpful but the entire staff from the safari drivers to the wait staff gave us an impeccable service. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We had a truly magical experience at Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp!! The accommodations were luxurious and our experience was exquisite. The camp staff truly went above and beyond to make sure that we had an unforgettable experience. I travelled with my husband, parents and sister. We were all blown away by the service and couldn't have asked for a better safari experience. Finch Hattons has its own private landing ***** which made the travel easy. Upon walking onto the property you feel like you are stepping into a fairytale. Everything about this place is gorgeous! The luxury tents don't feel like tents at all, as they are quite large and beautifully decorated. Our tent even had a chandelier! They pay attention to everything down to the last detail. They have beautiful fine china and stunning crystal that they use for every meal. Brian took care of us for all of our meals. He was absolutely lovely. The food was amazing and the chef came out to greet us personally. The soups were some of the best soups I've ever had! The safari experience was wonderful as well. We were fortunate to have Matthew as our guide throughout the duration of our stay. He was very knowledgeable and catered our game drives to what we were interested in seeing. We saw a leopard up close on our first day which was definitely a highlight! Finch Hattons has several other amenities that we really enjoyed. It has a beautiful open air yoga studio with private classes offered. We did a class together as a family and Matthew even joined us. The teacher was amazing. They also have a lovely massage therapist and I had a deep tissue massage. It was truly one of the best massages I've ever had. The property has 2 pools and several bars. They set up a gorgeous breakfast for us outside one morning. They also set up a cultural experience to show us the "Masai Games." Issac lead us through this event and we got to try some of the activities for ourselves. This was accompanied with a full bar and charcuterie out in the wild while watching the sunset. Issac also lead us on a hike that had a lovely view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. There were so many amazing things to do. I can't say enough good things about Finch Hattons! I highly recommend staying at this stunning property in Tsavo National Park!!

We spent 4 nights at Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp and had the most magical experience!! From the moment our plain touched down on the private airstrip to the moment we had to leave our stay was pure heaven. We were travelling for my spouse’s birthday, and the entire Finch Hattons staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Upon arriving at the property, you feel like you are stepping into the magical world of “Out of Africa”. This place is absolutely gorgeous, old-world luxury. The “tents” are like no tent we have ever seen. They are large and luxurious and beautifully decorated and with a wonderful terrace/wooden deck overlooking the natural springs. From here you will be able to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a large array of beautiful birds. All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) are served at the table with white tablecloth and napkins on beautiful fine china and shining crystal. In a gentil and pleasant manner and atmosphere you are invited to take your time and enjoy the meal. The food was amazing, carefully prepared and well-presented. Boniface took very good care of us during all of our meals, and he also got to know our dessert routine 😉. He and all of the restaurant/bar staff were absolutely lovely. The chef also came out to greet us personally so we could tell him how delicious his food was. In the evenings we were entertained by Alex with his guitar and singing. The excellent Maasai guides Matthew and Isaac guided us during our (early) morning and (late) afternoon/evening game drives. They both are so very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and told us everything there is to know about the flora and fauna in the area. They also showed us other amazing places like the Shetani Lava Flow, the Chyulu Hills and the general and breathtaking beauty of Tsavo. With all the activities carefully planned by Matthew and Isaac every day was a pleasure and surprise with a new plan of action. We also loved the “bush breakfast” (including cooked b’fast to order and some bubbly), the “sundowner” (with lovely finger food and full bar) while watching the sunset and the Maasai “Olympics” (we got to try some of the activities for ourselves). Matthew and Isaac are experts in spotting animals. We also got better at it but mostly it was an ALT (animal looking thing 😉). One of the most memorable evenings at the camp was watching Out of Africa in the open air. There is no better place on earth to watch this movie. After that we had a private and intimate dinner (with Boniface taking very good care of us) at the stargazing deck ending the evening admiring the amazing Tsavo sky. We can't say enough good things about Finch Hattons! We were blown away by the service and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff at Finch Hattons are the heart and soul of this place. They pay attention to everything down to the last detail and take extremely good care of you. We want to thank every single one of you for m

The facilities at Finch Hattons were spectacular. The tents are truly luxurious and well appointed. The staff and the food were wonderful. Our guides took us all over Tsavo West to see almost every animal. The only thing we missed was the elusive leopards. And they did try really hard. We were so busy for the 3 days we were there with game drives, sundown cocktails, breakfast in the bush.

Finch Hattons set the bar so high, it's difficult to find another camp to fill in the big big shoe. The hospitality is impeccable. Other camps, dwarf in comparison. Special mention to Oscar, Alvin, Noah, Felix, Peter, Jonathan, Bonface, Bridget and Harrison.

This is my third safari, but by far the best! The staff was incredibly attentive. Our Masai guide, Matthew, was extraordinary. The accommodations were so amazing. Food was delicious and lots of fun surprises along the way. We can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend Finch Hatton’s.

This is a little oasis in the desert. Family owned for years. Sits on a natural water seep. And you would never think you would have this lovely little lagoon in the desert. Denys Finch Hatton (yes that one, Out of Africa) loved Tsavo and created a luxury safari lodge. His vision was crystal and wonderful food on safari. This place hits the mark. Please don't go here expecting to see a ton of animals. It is best on the end of an itinerary, when you want something different...hiking, lava flow field, relaxing, spa. I recommend 4 days.
