My stay was delightful! Bed so comfy. Lovely furnishings in this beautiful Victorian home. Breakfast was amazing and they went the extra to have a hotpot of coffee so that I could come down early and bring a cup up to my room. Nice extras like fridg and hot water pot at the end of the hall. I would definitely come back and stay while visiting Olympia.

Swantown Inn Bed and Breakfast is located just a few minutes off I-5 in a residential area where the gingerbreading on this Victorian home seems appropriate. Hosts Nathan and Casey welcomed me into the cosy ambience of a Victorian home. Entering is like “Coming home to a place I’d never been before” to borrow a line from John Denver’s song. I was amazed at how the immersion in a bygone era is very relaxing, just by entering a home filled with Victorian nostalgia, a house built in a time of gentility and civility, including the hospitality of the hosts. The experience of staying there was period authentic down to the breakfast included. This is not one of the ostentatious Victorian mansions usually featured in historic tours, such as the Port Townsend tour of the former residences of late 1800s ‘lumber barons,' but instead a return to a time of gracious living that makes modern day cares fade away. I felt I returned to a time when home was where you came to relax after a workday, surrounded by family and a décor that celebrates family and life lived well, not extravagantly. A Victorian era history buff would really enjoy staying at this inn but I recommend this experience for anyone who needs a vacation, even a single day of rest and relaxation. PS – the beds are wonderfully comfortable!

The hosts were always ready to accommodate and responded quickly to any questions we had. The rooms looked just as advertised with a very cozy Victorian feel with unobtrusive luxuries. The bed was extremely soft and comfy - so much so that an early riser as myself felt compelled to sleep in just a couple more hours. The coffee and breakfast in the morning had generous portions and was absolutely delicious. While we ate we had a pleasant conversation with Nathan and Casey. It being the Christmas season when we stayed the decorations added to the already very pleasant Victorian feel.

I miss the Swantown Inn. It's been a few days, but I woke up and made a cappuccino in my mug that we accidentally absconded with (and later purchased) using Olympia Coffee Roasters coffee that I also brought home with me, and tried to imagine myself back at my little desk there and sipping it while doing my work on their lightning fast internet. I left a book there, and they helped me find it, so I picked it up this morning and leafed through it, pretending I was back at the Inn under the canopy of the bed, smelling the flowers, and warming by the fire. The breakfast was lovely, the food was savory, and the conversation was flowing. I really cannot think of a better place to return to for a special get away and hope they will make room for us once again. They really made us feel at home.

We love the Puget Suite for our small business retreats! There is an overhead screen in the living room, and two bedrooms with three luxurious beds. Also a kitchenette. Also when we have needed a larger room for a meeting with more people, they have accommodated with ear and impact 😃

The Puget suite is amazing. We come here several times a year for our small business owner’s retreat and it is perfect for our needs. The innkeepers are wonderful and the breakfast is amazing! Truly a home away from home.

The Swantown Inn was located right off the 101 and easy to get to. Very charming, historical house with all the period character. The Inn hosts, Casey and Nathan, were just as charming as the house. Food was excellent, conversations great, ammenities awesome and the host offered extras to make our stay more comfortable. They gave us great places to visit that made our stay so extrodinary.

An old fashioned bed and breakfast run by a lovely couple. Room was comfortable and breakfast was wonderful (the best American scones I've ever had!). Location was convenient to the Olympia Film Society, where I saw a music concert (and the reason I was in Olympia). Thank you for the hospitality! There is a flight of steps up to the room and a couple of steps into the house. If you have mobility issues, you may want to call the proprietors and discuss whether this b&b is suitable for you.
