The exterior of the motel is well maintained and there are nice touches like lounge chairs/tables and a grill outside, Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room. The room we stayed in was cozy and decorated nicely however it smelled very musty with a strong scent of air freshener on top of it. One of our beds sagged and the other was just uncomfortable. The heater kicked out dust and a musty smell. By morning, my allergies had flared up. There was food in the refrigerator left by previous occupants and a half-used bottle of mini-shampoo in the bathroom which made me feel like the room was hastily cleaned. The towels were thin and there was a damp rid bag hanging from the shower rod. The wall outlets were loose and the my cell phone charger kept falling out (except for the power strip that held the tv, microwave and refrigerator plugs). The room was clean for the most part but the musty smell and the beds made us feel uncomfortable. The bathroom needs work. I write these comments because I really want the owners to succeed with this business; it has a lot of potential. Be aware that the beach access is across the street and is very small; the shoreline is rock and driftwood. Nice spot to watch the sun set but not a place to walk or swim.
