Family-friendly Hotels in Orange County

Loved the view service at front desk were super nice and politely. I liked it so much I had to stay an extra night, even tho I knew my pockets said no but My heart said Yes. It was worth it. You have to experience it yourself and you will see......Thank you all for the wonderful service that made me feel for 2 nights like I was a Millionaire and that was just with good kindness heart. We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay in a “Central location” this was at the south end of all the “I-Drive” action. Near trolly stop 23. We checked in and were greeted with smiles and friendly face everywhere! The hotel was very busy as we arrived at peak check-in time and it didn’t impact the mood of the staff one bit! Our room was very nice, beds were not the most comfortable I’ve ever had but they were very good. Plenty of outlets and a small refrigerator, we had a pool view room and it was great! We ate in the restaurants a few times during our stay, we enjoyed the variety of the menus and the food was delicious!! The Steakhouse was quite expensive but the pool menu and David’s Club were very reasonably priced and the shop had great quick service breakfast options (and late night options). David’s has the buffet with omelet station and carving station for breakfast and separate Lunch and Dinner menus. David’s advertised as “Burgers and Bourbon”…a nice bourbon selection, centered around a few varieties of Michters. Not much in the way of “allocated” bourbon but a nice selection of others. The pool bar was nice, plenty of wait staff around the pool and a few bartenders at the bar most of the day, a completely different menu than anything inside the hotel, a nice light menu for outdoor fare in central Florida. Hilton offered limited transportation to and from Universal and Sea World. It was available but not an all day thing, you need to make reservations for it and it only has a few morning options and a few evening return options, but it is available. They do offer a daily pass for the trolly that runs up and down International Drive, basically from one outlet mall to the next (North to South). They have a bunch of stops all up and down I-Drive. The Spa staff was friendly and the prices were very reasonable for a resort like this one, the housekeeping staff was courteous and friendly! Overall, this Hilton experience was among the best we have had, we are Hilton Honors members and this will be one that we DEFINITELY return to! 9.9/10!!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Courtyard Lake Buena Vista at Vista Centre. I have stayed at many Courtyards, but this one was the best I have stayed at. It was just recently renovated. The lobby, lobby bar, and pool are so nice. The pool has cabanas with tvs and couches, a waterslide for the kids, cornhole, ping pong tables and fire pits. There is a huge tv where you can watch games all day and they show movies at night for the kids. You can order food and drinks from the lobby bar and eat inside or take it outside to the pool or around the firepits. The hotel location is perfect if you plan on visiting the parks like we did, or if you want to visit Disney Springs or the outlet shops and there are so many restaurants nearby. The customer service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a buffet breakfast you can take advantage of and even offer Starbucks too. This Courtyard has so much to offer and I can't recommend it enough.

We had a great time here. We arrived very early a m.The staff were very accomodating and took our luggage while we went shopping.We got into our unit at approximately 1.30pm.It was a busy weekend, so well done to them. Our unit is beautiful, clean and very well maintained and supplied. The two big windows in the master bedroom are a real feature, giving an air of space and light. I loved looking out at the trees and the water from my very comfortable bed. .There is plenty of storage and a large jacuzzi. The bed was super comfortable. The dining area has a quirky large mirror to match the design in the chairs. The second bedroom couldn't be faulted. The kitchen has a great cooker etc., everything supplied. Outside, the gardens are lovely. The pool is spotless. It's a ten minute walk to the Marriott hotel, the pool there is big, impressive but very busy and noisy. Whereas the Royal Palm was like a quiet sanctuary, so whatever floats your boat. Nearby, there's a Walmart and a Publix. We were happily surprised that previous negative reviews didn't play any part in our wonderful, comfortable experience here. What is there not to like?

Great room type, the room said that you can stay for 8 people, 6 people are no problem, two separate suites have a bathroom, the living room has a sofa bed, if the family travels together, the two families are more than enough. The resort is very large, the domestic community, the environment is very beautiful, about 15 kilometers away from Universal Studios, it is much more comfortable to live with the car than to live in Universal Studios.

Have recently returned from a great stay at Coco Key Water Park on International Drive, Orlando. Check is was quick and easy and Javier (apologies if I misspelt your name) was really friendly (as were all the staff). The rooms are pretty much the same as most hotels on the Drive with 2 x queen beds, sitting area, flat screen TV and basic bathroom. We had to change rooms due the air conditioning not working and this was no hassle for the staff at all. The only negative thing I have to say is around the coffee making facilities in the room. Rooms have a coffee making machine that uses the coffee bags (which isn't the nicest tasting coffee). We had brought some of our own but due to their not being a kettle in the room we were unable to use them. If kettles were provided in rooms, this would have improved our stay (and it's something so simple to do). We were also expecting microwaves in the room which would have allowed us to heat up microwave meals (which would have helped during Hurricane Ian). Again this is something that is easy to do. Overall we had a good, comfortable stay. We were greeted every morning and each time we returned to the hotel by the most friendly of staff with nothing being too much trouble for them. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Loved the ability to store my luggage before check in, and use the complimentary shuttle to visit Universal Studios during the day. Received complimentary warm cookies and bottled water at check in! Made the start of my stay at Double Tree great!

We're still here on our honeymoon but since we're waiting for our door battery being replaced, I thought I'd write a review. Despite our trying to make the most of it, the stay has been pretty rubbish. We were first placed in the most far away room possible, right beside the loading area for the conventions which meant it was really loud and we couldn't sit out on our balcony. The plug points didn't work around the room and the iron overheated which was pretty dangerous. When we asked for a new room they told us to come back (didn't apologise or seem bothered). We went back again a few days later and got moved to the outdated Island building. At least the plugs worked and it wasn't as noisy. Well today we got back from Disney Springs and our door wasn't working. We went back up to reception (which is a trek) and were told security would be down to replace the battery. That was 50 minutes ago. Not what we were hoping for on our honeymoon. Overall, it feels like no one cares and the convention guests are more important. We don't feel special and in fact would have been better at a Disney hotel, even if they are more expensive with lower stars. We've still got a week so I'm hoping to update this later once we've had a full stay.

Check-in Experience: Upon arrival, check-in was seamless and efficient. However, I was disappointed to find that parking came with an additional charge—an inconvenience I reluctantly accepted. That said, this is really my only significant complaint. Room: The room itself was quite basic but exceptionally clean. While housekeeping did miss our scheduled 7-day bed linen change, they were otherwise thorough and attentive. I have no complaints regarding the cleanliness or upkeep of the space. Pool Area: The pool area, especially in the evenings, was a highlight of our stay. The pool was maintained at a comfortable temperature and was spacious enough to accommodate plenty of guests. We never had an issue finding a sun lounger, and the late-night swims after a day at the parks were a real treat. Location: The location was ideal—much better than I initially expected. Though I was concerned we might be too far up International Drive, it turned out to be quite convenient, particularly with its proximity to I-4. Complimentary Shuttles: The complimentary shuttle service was outstanding. We never waited more than five minutes, and it was a great convenience to leave the car behind, especially if we wanted to enjoy a drink while out. Dining: I approached the on-site food court with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. In fact, the meals here were better than some of the ones we had along International Drive. Overall In summary, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it as a no-frills, basic resort. It’s not a luxury destination, but it is clean, well-maintained, and staffed by friendly professionals. A solid, reliable accommodation option.

After reading many stellar reviews, and wanting a clean new place to stay, I booked here. The price was decent, especially for a hotel close to the parks. Upon check-in, the room I booked was not available. I was disappointed, but my parking cost was comped, so I appreciated that. The Good - The hotel is in close proximity to literally EVERYTHING. Minutes from the parks, plus close to newer chain hotels, coffee, gas stations, and Target. - The hotel's bartender is amazing. Very friendly, works his butt off when it's busy, and will STILL remember your name. - Food onsite through the hotels restaurant is good, and very convenient! - The pool is clean, large, and open until 11pm, which is awesome when you return from a long hot day and want to relax. - Even though our room was across the hall from the elevators, it was mostly quiet throughout our stay, which I appreciated. - Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the shower, which saved packing space. The Not-So-Good - Our room wasn't in great shape. With this hotel being only a few years old, it already needed repairs. The faucet was loose and spun around. - There was a crack from obvious water damage (badly patched) in the ceiling over one bed that looked like it was ready to let loose at any moment. - The light bulb in the desk lamp was out, and the bed skirts were ragged and had some holes. - The bathroom layout is odd, and it's hard to stretch out when trying to dry off. - If you want service during your stay, you must request it. This is something I struggle with, post-COVID. I miss daily service. I had to go to the front desk to request things be replenished, rather than it happening during a daily service. - The front desk did try to book another guest into our room while we were staying there. Imagine our surprise when we finally answered the door after hearing the handle jiggle four or five times. I think the person on the other side of the door was equally confused. - Breakfast is quite chaotic. There are so many stations with different types of food, and no real order to the ”flow” of it so people end up wandering aimlessly. With it being so hectic, we skipped it most days. Overall, the hotel was okay for what we needed. It was close to things we wanted to do, and quiet for a good night's sleep. Overall the service we received from the staff was good too.
