First of all I wanna say the owners were knowledgeable helpful and concerned how everything was run at the hotel they were excellent the room itself was perfect I stayed there for a few months in 2009 any question I asked them they always had the correct answer they’re always very helpful one night I dropped my mobile phone outside where you pull in I was coming back from Mexico and was very intoxicated and the next morning they found it and they gave me the phone yeah I had to pay him a few bucks for it but still the fact that they gave it back to me they are the most amazing people if I ever go back to that country I would highly recommend and I will stay there myself

I previously stayed at this hotel in June 2024 for a business trip and was impressed by the exceptional service, cleanliness, and hospitality. With that positive experience in mind, I was happy to return for an overnight stay on October 17. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. I was assigned Room 300, which, while clean, is in need of some maintenance. The security lock had been removed and not replaced, which was unsettling as the room is accessible from the stairs that lead directly to the street. This creates a potential security concern, especially since it’s the route other guests use to access rooms 301-305 after hours. If you're looking for a peaceful night's sleep, I wouldn’t recommend Room 300. Throughout the night, several guests passed by, many of whom were loud and intoxicated. The room's location makes it difficult to avoid disturbances from other guests coming and going. The bathroom also requires attention. The mirror is broken, with a sharp, exposed edge, which is hazardous. Additionally, the space between the bathroom wall and the toilet is so tight that it’s challenging to move comfortably, especially for larger individuals. Recommendations: 1. Consider room placement more thoughtfully—guests on business trips who need a quiet night’s sleep should not be placed in high-traffic areas, or soundproofing measures should be taken. 2. Address the maintenance issues in Room 300, particularly the broken mirror and missing security latch. 3. While the bathroom’s limited space may be difficult to change, be mindful of assigning rooms with such tight spaces to guests who might need more room. Despite the lack of sleep, I want to commend the staff for their attentive hospitality, and the breakfast burritos were excellent. I hope this feedback will help improve your services moving forward.

The hotel is located on the Main Street, which, contrary to the name, is a quiet street. We stayed two nights in the newer part of the hotel, which is perpendicular to the older part. You won't be bothered by traffic noise at all. Excellent rooms, although on the small side because the bed was against the side wall on one side. Good breakfast, with a number of options to choose from. Good to know if you come by bus from Mexico/Belize City that the bus station is not in the center, but a bit outside near a cemetery. The hotel could not be booked via the major reservation sites. It is good to know that the hotel responds very quickly to requests that you email directly. Excellent service. The hotel also arranges tours to Lamanai. With a total of 7 people in a boat, with Coconut Pete as guide, it was an educational and fun day.

The hotel is located one a back street of a small town so it is a quiet area except for the barking dogs which flair up occasionally. We stayed in 2 rooms. A premium room and a junior suite. Both had comfortable beds and good showers and were clean. The bed in the premium room was against the wall on one side making vit awkward to get in and out of bed. The suite was roomy with a four poster bed but again one side of the bed was close to the wall making it difficult to get by the posyet there was plenty of room to move it away. There was a couch and recliner in the sitting area and a small kitchen. The furniture looked well used. TheThe staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is either a small buffet or you choose from several selections. Coffee and tea is self serve. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and there are only a couple of restaurants nearby. We chose to get some street food from the vendors near the park. They own another property by the river. The setting there is very nice and they have a bar and restaurant. I don't know what the rooms are like.

Good rooms; apparently the best in town. Welcoming check-in. 1 No hot water in the shower at 22:00. 2. Asked evening rcptionist for a wake-up knock. He wrote it down; later said he told the night- mrng guy. Before going to sleep I talked with the 2nd guy, who knew nothing about it! He too wrote it down. No one woke me up. I talked with the manager, who said and did nothing. 3 When arriving for my included brkfst, was told curtly by the lady in charge that I cant have brkfst bcs "there's a big group coming"! Despite my amazed protestations, she just repeated that same sntnc again and again, not offering any explanations, alternatives, apologies; all the time busy with a co-worker, not bothering even to look at me. I had to call the rcptionist in order to get brkfst, the smallest dullest one I had in Belize

The hotel and their sister lodge have the most helpful and friendliest staff in the world. They went out of their way to arrange for transfers to and from Orange Walk, the boat trip to Lamani and a personal birding guide (George) for two days. They really tried and succeeded in meeting our every need!
