Universal Stella Nova Resort

Great hotel and facilities, outstanding staff

When we arrived to our room, the sheets were disgusting. There was hair all over the sheets, obviously the linens were not changed between guests. There are two other major issues here: 1) the TV doesn't work. If you want to watch TV, forget it. There are NO channels that come in except for the Orlando Universal advertising channel. Waste of time to watch that. 2) The shower door is not installed correctly and it slides open when showering. The shower door stays open the entire time.

What a beautiful new hotel with wonderful theming! All public areas are perfectly themed as are the rooms. The staff provides 5 star guest service. They are so helpful and delightful. Stella Nova is steps away from the Epic Universe entrance. No worries about parking or buses when that park opens. However, it really doesn't offer as much as the other prime value resort. Stella Nova has one quick serve restaurant in the lobby and a pick up window by the pool. Both have the same limited menu. No sit down dining. Housekeeping services the room every other day. We didn't see that mentioned on the website or reservation info. Maybe it was there and we didn't see it. That's a non negotiable for us. I don't want to empty trash or make beds on vacay. We've stayed at multiple Universal hotels and they all provide daily housekeeping. We'll stick with those options. Outside of the dining and housekeeping concerns, we were happy at Stella Nova.

I had a good experience at this hotel. We had hot water and the hotel was clean. I’m Some things to note 1. The gym door was locked and had issues but the wait for someone to open it was less than 5 minutes 2. I couldn’t ever link my reservation to my online account but everything was in order when we got there 3. They didn’t give us our free photo tickets but we didn’t want them anyway but make sure you ask 4. Rooms were super clean and I’m picky. Only found a makeup stain on one towel but they only clean every other day. Make sure you are out of the room or they won’t want to clean your room. We were leaving to go downstairs and they didn’t want to clean it but we needed towels etc otherwise there would have been zero cleaning during our time there. But we convinced them to please clean the room and we were on our way out 5. They charge to receive packages and no one told us until they charged us . Small fee $5 Pros- no big issues, very clean, very courteous staff, spacious hotel, rooms were nice, not too crowded, further away from parks but I think it’s worth it to stay here before epic opens because it’s new and not crowded.
