Ortenaukreis Hotels with Wi-Fi

We are used to stop here in Offenburg when traveling back from Northern Italy. See my other reviews since 2017. We have been a bit disappointed last year, so we gave another chance. No improvement at all. We still appreciate the location (close to the highway, but still quiet), the rooms (spacious) and the breakfast buffet (delicious). But again, the restaurant (which years ago was very recommendable) was unmanned for dinner. We found a good alternative in the city centre. The pool (still mentioned when making a reservation) was unavailable due to technical problems. Is there a manager to run this (otherwise good in the past) hotel ? They seem to complain on the difficulty to find adequate staff...

An unpleasant welcome! To believe that we were going to prison, the lady didn't even make the effort to speak English, you receive tourists for Europapark, personally I find it inconceivable not even knowing how to speak English. We didn't understand anything in German and so from what she told us, she seemed so happy to be there... When I tell you that it would have been like a welcome to go to prison... That’s really it! Otherwise apart from that we slept really well and the room was extremely clean. Small downside has improved the parking spaces, there are not enough... and as a result you have to park quite far away.

We stayed there one night in the weekend, late arrival at 22H that didn't pose any problem. A small bottle of gaseous water was available. A boiler and lyophilized coffee would have been a more. The family rooms were spacious, clean, the overlapped beds sympathetic for children (child room separate, very convenient). The hotel restaurant no longer accepts customers from 20:30 a.m. in the weekend, but it is also the case in other German restaurants, especially shocking for French, when we usually go to the restaurant! The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. For example: a vacuum and racked nutella pot, more cheese in cut, more white jam, no fruit salad, no yagurt, no compot, no dry fruit. The coffee: from simple swallowed coffee, without interest, if you want a coffee to the machine you will have to pay a surcharge !!!
