**Breakfast Experience – Food Quality and Variety:**
The breakfast did not meet the standards expected of a 5-star hotel.
* **Egg Options:** No soft- or hard-boiled egg choices were available, a basic offering in high-end hotels.
* **Fruits:** Only bananas and pineapples were served—very limited selection.
* **Pastries & Bread:** The selection was simple and resembled that of a 3-star hotel.
* **Protein Choices:** Aside from sliced roast beef and grilled fish, there were no other notable protein options such as eggs prepared to order, chicken, shrimp, or plant-based alternatives.
**Service Staff:**
Frontline staff were friendly and polite, which we appreciated.
**Management Practice:**
It was not an isolated supervisor's action but a routine practice: guests were strictly required to queue only at the Western pastry section, even if they had no interest in that food. This rigid approach disregards individual dietary preferences and falls short of the flexibility and respect expected from a 5-star hotel.
**Conclusion:**
While Hotel Granvia Osaka offers a convenient and well-located stay, the breakfast service requires significant improvement to meet international 5-star standards.
