Capsule&Spa Grand Sauna Shinsaibashi

Absolutely fantastic location- right in the Dotonbori restaurant and bar district. You can go bar hopping all night then sweat it out in the sauna afterwards. The lobby could use a decor upgrade as it looks like it’s still 1989. That aside, the service is excellent from the staff who speak minimal English. your ID wrist band has a bar code and that can also be used for the vending machines so there’s no fumbling with coins - you just get the drinks added to your check out bill.. which has to be cleared every day. The upstairs spa has a large onsen with a hot pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, sauna, steam room and massage rooms (additional charge) There are also lounges to relax and read, play on your phone or watch those crazy Japanese game shows. There is a little restaurant where reasonably priced breakfasts and dinners are served; again you can simply bill it to your wrist band. The deluxe capsule beds are super comfortable and having that extra floor space and privacy is well worth the additional cost. There was hardly anyone on my floor - that said; purchase ear plugs in case of snoring neighbors. Overall I loved the stay and will gladly return.

Very strategy location which next street from Shinsaibashi, and walkable to JR Namba line and Namba Subway Lines. The only weekness is require to check out everyday and re-checkin on 3pm if u stay more than 1 day, but it wont impact my trip. As i will put my luggage at reception counter and go out for my trip.

Independent room is highly recommended. This hotel provides sauna, and the experience in the independent room is just like you are staying in a normal hotel

It’s clean enough. The location is very great - central. Very friendly staff, and good service. The amenities are quite poor. I don’t know if I misunderstood, but it seems to only be one shower for everyone, and it does not include soap. You get what you pay for, and I could stay here again.

Great place to stay and experience the local sauna culture.🤭 . You cannot be shy as all are naked. The location is very very good. Many restaurants around too.

If you are an onsen fan then this hotel is perfect to experience traditional Japanese onsen within low budget unless you get massage , near Dotonbori and namba metro with Namba HIPS nearby. Rejuvenation is perfect thru onsen but capsules can be upgraded to deluxe from standard as it is almost a room with a writing table.
