Palazzo Stunis - Dimora di Charme

What an amazing place! Palazzo Stunis is the best hotel we have enjoyed whilst in Puglia. The palazzo, family- owned for several generations, has been lovingly, meticulously, and artfully renovated by Matteo , our most extraordinary elegant and refined host. The room ( parental suite) is exquisitely decorated with high ceilings, and painted frescoes. The adjoining bathroom is impeccably clean boasting the plushest bath towels and hand -embroidered hand towels. The hand embroidered , fine linen bed sheets are changed every day. What a treat! The breakfast buffet , replete with a cornucopia of fresh fruit, croissants, baked goods, yoghurts, eggs any style, cured meats , cheeses…… is a lavish feast , unseen anywhere else. Matteo is the epitome of kindness, efficiency, and refinement. We feel privileged to have been able to stay at that marvelous palazzo in beautiful Ostuni.

By far the loveliest BnB we’ve ever stayed in. Brilliant location. Easy 5-10 min walk to the centre of town. The rooms were pristine. A beautiful property. Lovely linen sheets. Beautiful decor. Fabulous shower. The breakfast was stupendous. And Matteo the host was so helpful, parking our car ( free parking less than five mins away) and producing umbrellas at the first hint of rain. Highly recommend!

An amazing B&B! Such a beautiful place with a rich family history, close to the old town and a wonderful owner, Mateo. He was so friendly and helpful with places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Would definitely come back here again on our next visit to Ostuni.

Such a beautiful Palazzo From the hand painted ceilings and original tiled floors to the fantastic chandeliers and lovely light fittings in every room. Our room was spacious with 2 period style queen size beds and we had our own private access. Breakfast each morning were amazing with an assortment of cereals, fresh fruits cakes, meats, cheeses, pizza slices and more all beautifully laid out on magnificent inlaid tables with white lace tablecloths. The dining tables for breakfast were laid beautifully with China crockery and cutlery in keeping with the theme of the home, which was a family home that Matteo renovated. We cant speak highly enough of Matteo as our host. He is the perfect gentleman. Whether he was helping with luggage, advising about restaurants, arranging private tours or drivers to pick us up from the airport etc, nothing was too much trouble. Matteo treated us as very special guests. We really enjoyed our long chats and we are so happy we were able to spend time with him at his beautiful Palazzo If only we could keep this as a secret for ourselves. A superb bed and breakfast, a beautiful house in a great location. Matteo was an excellent host, meeting us, helping with luggage and parking the car. Breakfast was incredible, such a choice of fresh produce and beautifully presented. The property is stunning, spotlessly clean and furnished very tastefully. Thank you Matteo.

This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Southern Italy. The hotel is set in a wonderful old building that has been lovingly restored, and it is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was a feast--everything we ate was terrific, and there were plenty of things to choose from. But what made the stay truly special was the quality of the host, Matteo. In addition to providing excellent service, and very helpful maps and information, his hospitality was off the charts. He made us feel at home. If you are going to Ostuni and want a place close to the historic center, we highly recommend staying at the Palazzo Stunis.
