Recently paid a visit to this hotel and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is spread over a very large site and you could end up walking 400 yard's to your room. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was good if a little overwhelming because of the number of portions and the size of them. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. You can walk to the sea but there is no beach,just rocks. Some of the staff were a little glum, maybe it's the end of the season but a smile costs nothing. Definitely need a car ro stay here but a good hotel for visiting the Puglia area.

I visited this hotel many years ago and am still shocked by the terrible experience I had here. I have read a recent review and see the rooms and plumbing have not been improved . The rooms away from the main hotel area smell of sewage and the general vista is that of a prison holiday camp. The beach area is misrepresented as it is small difficult to access and full of old furniture. The bar service is lacking vigour, birds frequent breakfast including their droppings , most lacklustre staff around. Reception ‘ am I bothered mentality’ Basically I agree with previous review. Not up to scratch. Roughly a 2 -3 star place.

Very disappointing. We booked a 4* after a string of Airbnb as a treat. We were allocated a room in a concrete single storey block that smelt damp and was definitely not even close to 4* accommodation. We were moved to one in the opposite block. Still poor but at least it didn’t smell. The noise from either side plumbing was horrendous made worse only by the fact the cleaners started at 7.30 am on the Sunday!! We were eventually loved to a room in the main block which looked much better and more like a hotel but an out of date holiday camp. However air con didn’t work and there’s no maintenance guy at weekend! Temp in room Was 27 degrees. They told us to sleep with the window open! Luckily someone else checked out early and we were moved to our 4th room (in a 2 night stay) which was nice. If you are considering this hotel a few important points - make sure you are guaranteed a room in the main building if you want anything like hotel quality. Unless you are planning not to leave hotel at all (or full board) you will need a car. There’s nowhere within walking distance. Ostuni a 15 min drive and is nice. The pool area is lovely and you can walk down the path to the sea (do t look at all the old furniture and rubbish dumped I assume by the hotel on the side of the path) and that’s quite nice. It’s not a sandy beach - just a small grass area with steps over the rocks to the sea. Food was good but it’s a set meal so doesn’t feel like eating out. Staff at reception were mixed some Helpful and understanding - others the opposite. I would not in all honesty recommend this place to anyone.

The masseria is located near the sea. The lovely pathway under the palm trees leading to the sea is fantastic. By taxi you can visit picturesque Ostuni in 15-20 minutes, we paid 25 Euros for 4 people, this is affordable. The staff is friendly and you can enjoy drinks inside and outside the lounge. The arms of lagunes are leading into the clear blue sea. The food was delicious, they were serving typical fresh Apulian dishes. You can visit Brindisi, Bari, Matera, Otranto, Castel des Monte, Alberobello, Lecce, Trani.

We spent a week in Masseria Santa Lucia, we liked: •the staff that is nice and helpful •good fresh bread always •the pool (one of the biggest and safest pool I ever been) •the location close to the beach and lagoons also close to the cities that are nice to visit •folk concert organized with the locals •transport to the beach and back .. although walking on the the palm street is very pleasant we consider average to good: •the foods •the rooms !Important to have a car if you want to visit other cities

We stayed at this beautiful masseria in May. Everything was perfect from the location, the rich breakfast, the room, the beautiful pool area, friendly staff especially Giuseppe, Giovanni, Samuela and Alessia.

The hotel is about 650 meters from the beach but can be reached in 10-15 minutes through a beautiful palm tree avenue. The bungalows are clean but very spartan. The water temperature in the shower changes automatically every 30 seconds, so you have to keep turning the control. Mosquito spray is highly recommended as the mosquitoes are very hungry here. But that's not the hotel's fault. The rooms are not beautiful but functional and minimalist. Terracotta tiles can be found everywhere in the hotel. The staff are reservedly friendly. You are rarely greeted by the staff. The entire staff (without exception) gives a listless impression. Breakfast is very spartan. There is the same thing every day and only one variation of everything (except for seven different cakes for breakfast). You have to peel and prepare a fruit plate yourself. The evening meal is very disappointing. The spa department is a highlight and is excellently equipped. The therapists are very competent and extremely friendly. Excellent service at reasonable prices. The swimming pool is clean and has plenty of loungers that are well shaded.
