This is the "Tokachigawa Onsen Fuji Hotel" located on the outskirts of Obihiro. It seems to have been renovated recently, so the inside of the building was clean and tidy. The room was a Japanese-style room with 10 tatami mats, so it was very spacious. The best thing about this hotel is the hot springs. According to the guidebook, Tokachigawa Onsen is home to "moor hot springs", which are rare even in Japan. In ancient times, reeds and other plants grew naturally along the banks of the Tokachi River. These plants accumulated over a long period of time, and the hot springs that bubble up through the lignite layers that were created are "moor hot springs" that contain a lot of organic plant matter.
