Hotel Villa Rita

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, very conveniently located to the archeological park and to the beach, and very pretty. The pool area was immaculate. It felt like a little resort but cozy and warm. We stayed here for a night both before and after a 5 day bike trip in the Cilento. I would definitely stay there again.

It was the worst hotel i have ever stayed. It is not even hotel . It is hostel. Incredible bad smell, insects in the room. AC doesn’t work. We came here with tour group. I couldn’t sleep. And receptionist is not a normal man. He was very aggressive,he didn’t helped us. I am sure 100% off good reviews they write themselves. Because i am sure nobody want to stay here. Veryyy bad.

We stayed at this family run hotel while visiting the archeological site at Paestum and had a great experience - fantastic meals, very flexible staff, pleasant and clean swimming pool. The side rooms where we stayed are basic and the bathrooms small but still offer every thing one needs. The main house gives a great homey feeling and we could hang out there not only for the meals (great menus) but also for a game of cards in the evenings. The owner's daughter Rita was particularly friendly and helpful with tips about visiting the region. We highly recommend this place.

This beautiful and elegant family run Villa is an oasis we really enjoyed staying at during our short visit to see the archeological museums in Paestum. There is plenty of parking, and Rita's check in was quick and efficient. Our room, especially the beds, was very comfortable, and one of the best we had during our 2 months in Italy. It also had a lovely peaceful view from the balcony. We had requested a quiet room and were pleased that it turned out to be so. The walk to the archeological sites was an easy and pleasant 10 minutes. The personal attention by the staff showed their commitment to its guests. The environment was also informal enough to feel right at home. The breakfast and coffee was good, prepared by very friendly Rosa. They also prepared sandwiches for our lunch at our request. We really wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Rita and family!

This hotel has according to the stickers on the entrance been awarded Michelin stars in the past. If you call a few iceberg leaves cut up and dressed with bland dressing in a small bowl as salad then there must have been a major change to the chef. The dinner was poor overall and overpriced. Breakfast wasn't much better.

I recently got married in Paestum and booked out the Villa Rita for 3 nights for friends and family traveling to attend the wedding, also staying there for one night myself. Below is a short summary of both their and my own feedback. I have spent quite a bit of time down in Paestum/ Capaccio and Villa Rita offers the best choice for any travelers from both near and far. Customer service is not typical of the other hotels and accommodation in the area. The owners speak perfect English and are extremely helpful with questions and with providing information about the surrounding area with a flexibility that is not so common to other lodgings. Happy to book taxis, prepare breakfast and on one occasion packed lunches for friends catching an early bus to the airport. That is not part of their package I assume but just goes to show how caring they are for their reputation by keeping things customer focused, which I promise is really not the vibe with other hotels in the area. Rooms are clean and spacious with new AC. Swimming Pool is clean and large enough to get a proper swim with plenty of lounging space to relax Food very tasty and views are super with nice land around the hotel giving it a country feel. Short walk to Paestum (temple area) and for the younger travelers, one can easily walk to the train station in Paestum where they can take day trips up or down the coast. The owner and his daughter are genuine, honest and down to earth people who take pride in what they have built and ensure that the customer comes first. Best stay I have had in Italy to date. You won’t regret a stay in the Villa Rita. Looking forward to my next stay there already
