Hotel K'Loys

Our second visit here was good, particularly because we remembered to book a back room. The front rooms can be noisy, good as the view is. The quality of the rooms is excellent, although you pay both for the very central location and the well-designed accommodation. No real car parking, although parking nearby is easy enough most of the year. Paimpol is a delightful town and this hotel puts you at its heart.

Our stay in Paimpol was very overwhelmed by the annual fair which occupied the entire quay outside the hotel, so perhaps we were unlucky in our timing. Our room was quite small, and the Shower room not very modern, the decor typical for an unmodernised French seaside hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet, despite all the funfair outside. An adequate breakfast. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very acceptable if unexceptional.

Located on the seafront, the hotel is in a central location, opposite the marina. The old hotel has been modernised with a wing with modern rooms, which are spacious and well equipped. Our room overlooked the side street which was noisy at times. A bathroom with a large bath, and a separate shower, all nicely set out. The breakfast room is in the older section of hotel, and is a bit dated. The self service breakfast would be better if the cooked food was done to order. There is no parking on site, so a short walk takes you to a public car park Overall a pleasant stay, but not one of the cheapest hotels.

Cute and overall pleasant. Very small rooms and difficult shower conditions, slim shower "tube". The shower "tube" tiles were grossly mildewed. Bathroom doors with markings, corners not clean, would not rate this as clean! Unfortunately no maid service was provided due to covid situation, that is, it is considered more safe not to clean daily. Guests do not come in contact with cleaning crew, therefor I did not understand this approach. At least fresh towels, kleenex, toilet paper or other items could have been offered if the room is not checked daily. The main street out front is VERY loud in the middle of the night! Wonderful breakfast. Excellent location. Requires attention to details!
