The Signature Valley Khao-Yai Campus

When we arrived at the tent site, there was grass burning and smoke billowing. The surrounding area looked more like a workers’ camp or construction site than a tourist accommodation. The tents were small, narrow, old, and dirty. The worst thing was the mattresses for sleeping, which were worn out and the springs were broken. When we lay down, they immediately sank to the ground. The bathroom was painted zinc with a black stain on the toilet seat. The staff didn’t bother to wipe it before guests checked in. We had to clean it ourselves. The shower head was broken. The bathtub next to the tent couldn’t be used. It was dirty and old and full of stains, dust, and leaves. We thought we would be okay if the price wasn’t so high. We booked a room a long time before our trip for a price of 1,800 baht. We could have stayed in a clean hotel for almost 2,000 baht. But we were confused when we checked the price for the night and it was only 1,000 baht. We were very disappointed. We felt like we were cheated and wasted our money. We couldn’t get a refund. My boyfriend felt sorry for us, so we booked a new room and took us out. We gave up the 1,800 baht and paid 2,000 baht for a new place because we really couldn’t sleep. You'll probably have back pain all night if you force yourself to sleep in that condition. I'm warning you, a tent in this condition would be a waste of money for 500 baht a night.
