Hotel Posta

Perfect! Conveniently located in a quiet area just off Via Roma. Short walk to excellent dining options and all the sights of Palermo. Staff were exceptional. So pleasant and helpful. Dining room for breakfast was so quiet with fine food and pleasant table service. Bar service was great too and we were plus with delicious cakes… no charge. Forget the big hotels and come to this fine family owned hotel.

Good points were very clean room, and clean hotel. Friendly service at breakfast and car retrieval from Car Park was great. Also great location close to Restaurants and attractions. Bad points were front of hotel being renovated, frequent annoying power cuts including 3 unexpected ones due to switch tripping, doors are old and door locks are terrible, they state on Trip Advisor they have access to a private beach which is false and finally the terrace upstairs is a shambles and in dire need of renovation.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel as part of an Exodus tour. The hotel is in a great location for visiting the old parts of the city and the recent works are finished, so we had a quiet stay. The men in reception and in the dining room were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast itself was the nicest that we had on our trip. There is a cosy bar where we had a drink and this was let down a bit by the poor attention of the lady who was supposed to be serving. On the whole, a good stay in Palermo and we would be happy to book again.

The staff here are delightful, Donatello and her team work tirelessly! However, we found the hotel swathed in scaffolding which meant our rooms were permanently dark. In addition the noise from the work-fortunately only on one day- was irritating. The rooms were clean but need updating. The decor, particularly the furnishings are thrown together, or it seems like it. The wifi is good. The shower was hot but poorly equipped and old fashioned. I wasn't sure it was clean. Lots of clean towels, and very comfortable (single).beds. Good breakfast, same every day- fruit, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheese all brought to your table. The hotel is very well situated-near-guess? the huge Post Office!

Hotel Posta is a good location if you have no expectations for higher hospitality. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, however, the description of the hotel does not match reality. It is connected to another hotel that does reflect the 'Palazzo with library' etc. but the real Hotel Pasta is rather run down. The rooms have old Ikea wardrobes and are basically falling apart, the cheapest tvs and no in room coffee. The linens are great if you want to be exfoliated in your sleep...The lobby has armchairs that truly need to be replaced, the beds are hard and squeaky with thin outdated coverlets and there is much to be desired with the pillows and general decor. I don't think it has been renovated since the late 90's. THAT being said the breakfast was fine and the coffee excellent. The staff was really lovely - for the most part - and again, the location was great. No place to relax and have a drink though, just an old wooden bar that doubles as the breakfast coffee station. If they would put a little money in basic renovation - furniture, painting, etc. - it would be a great place with a great location to see the sites of Palermo. For the price I suppose it is fine....again, clean and generally friendly but not a boutique hotel it claims to be.

The condition of the hotel is poor. It is neglected and needs maintenance. the breakfast was terrible. I think there were only 2 guests in the hotel. I paid them by credit card when I left and a couple of days later my office received an email requesting my credit card details and pin number as they said I had left without paying. Will definitely never go back there
