Some of the reviews on this hotel are incredibly harsh to the point I almost cancelled due to fear, maybe things were different before but I had a great experience here despite having high standards. The rooms were finished to high spec, the service was good and fast and the hotel offers a peaceful quiet atmosphere (something not so common in Palomino or in the Caribbean region in general). If you want to be close to Palomino town this isn't the best choice for you as it's a little further out but that's why it's peaceful! The restaurant is just okay I'd say, it's a little pricey and the food is good but not spectacular. The cocktails are very good though!

We only had a couple of nights here as part of a group trip. It was so relaxing here some of us decided to spend the day here rather than a day trip. So glad I did - sitting by the pool or beach listening to the waves was so relaxing. We had a lovely thatched hut as our room. It was huge (obviously meant for more than two as we had four double beds - the hut was split in two ( two double beds per room) with a large outside toilet , wash area and shower. There was a line to hang clothes outside. There is no hot water but it was tepid ( ok for shower). Plenty of towels for shower and beach use. There was a safe. The double beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets. We also had a hammock out front (great fun). We were on the beachfront so could hear the waves (relaxing). Good supply of electricity for charging iPhones etc. Good wifi. The rooms had large electric fans rather that air con. The staff were lovely and restaurant served good food. The breakfast was lovely plate of fruit and then choice of egg dish. The sea was not safe to go in due to heavy waves but large pool great.

This is a decent hotel, but no better than that. The food was ok in the restaurant, but it got boring quickly. Fortunately, I speak Spanish so I was able to communicate with the staff. The rooms were very clean and well air- conditioned.

The hotel is a beauty in Palomino, surrounded by nature and located on the beachfront. Gastronomy is one of the strongest attributes I found, as well as the connection with nature and its environment. They recently opened a very nice beachfront bar.

Very good hotel in front of the sea, the beach is almost private because it is far from Palomino, 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes on foot along the beach. I had an apparently newly built bungalow, which was very modern. However, I don't think it was completely finished yet. It had no decorative items, such as pictures, mirrors, coat hooks or a chair. Instead, there were a few geckos on the ceiling, which wasn't annoying, but they did their business on the bed or even the pillow without being hindered. This could easily be stopped with a mosquito net (at least above the bed). There is a hammock at the entrance, which is super chill. The beach is very rough, high waves and the current make swimming rather impossible, but that's not a problem, as you can just sit in the hammock or lounge chair and look out over the sea. The hotel is in a quiet location, you really only hear the sound of the waves. I was a bit unlucky, as the pool was apparently being renovated, so the idyll was temporarily interrupted by the noise of the circular saw. Unfortunately, the WiFi didn't work in the room, which was a bit annoying. You had to go to the restaurant for that. There is no power socket in the bathroom, but there is one in the bedroom, but no mirror... The food was good and I thought the price was OK. What I can highly recommend is the massage right on the beach! World class. I think the negative points could be fixed in a few weeks/months, which is why I can highly recommend the hotel.
