Convenient location in Moorea close to main tourist areas. The private grounds, quiet cabins and waterfront access are real benefits. There is lots of nature on the property. The beachfront is perfect for wading and sunbathing. The kitchen in the Suite Mahana is well equipped with a large fridge and freezer component. The back bedroom's bed is tightly positioned with not much clearance on either side of the bed. Best for smaller people or kids. The main bedroom is excellent. The smoke alarms on the property are very sensitive. It was common for neighboring properties to burn vegetation and this can set off the smoke alarm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The location and grounds are beautiful. The building is in need of minor repairs (E.g. the main door is difficult to close and lock. Feels very safe with an electronic gate and only 3 bungalows. There is a nice Sandy, shallow path in the lagoon out about 10 meters. Perfect for children to play in. If you are snorkeling you may wish to walk out most of the way barefoot and then put in your fins. There are a good number of fish and coral but the coral is clearly dieing. The kayaks and paddles were in excellent repair and we spent hours slowly paddling around tbe lagoon.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Ava’e suite. It was a clean, tidy, charming cottage with well-organised kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Kitchenette has a two gas burner, nespresso machine, rice cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Bedroom had a mosquito net (which was helpful) and bed was comfortable. There is a safe in the wardrobe and plenty of power plugs. The seating area at our villa was private and perfect for a couple. The washing line was a real bonus and meant we could easily dry our towels and swimwear. Staff were very friendly with a warm welcome and a shell necklace on departure. Everyone we talked with was smiling, happy, and proud of their property. It felt like you were a welcome guest and not just a ‘tourist’. English was spoken as needed, but Tahitian and French were more common. We were blown away when the managers, without prompting, called Avis for us to arrange a pick-up from the property so we could collect a hire car at the ferry. The local supermarket was excellent and a 5 minute walk along the road. It was our favourite supermarket on the entire island. Kayaks were available and in good condition. The property has two single kayaks and one double kayaks, but it seemed we were the only ones using them while we stayed. Gardens were lovingly maintained and pretty. You walk straight off the grass onto the sandy-bottomed lagoon with the coral 20m from shore. Crystal clear waters meant we could see fishes and rays from the shore – and there were plenty around. The only slight downside is that the road is busy and so there is road noise in the villa, but this would be a common issue for all properties in this part of the island. We would happily have stayed longer, but the property was fully booked! A perfect place to rest and enjoy nature for a few days.

We loved staying here, just so relaxing and easy. The accommodation was really well appointed and worked perfectly for our adult family of four. The service was super friendly and helpful. Good snorkelling and swimming right out the front, sunsets of a lifetime. Thanks!

I almost tear up thinking about this stay! It was more than magical! We stayed at the Mahana Suite with our two children ( 5 and 9 years old). While there wasn't always someone on site, they were always reachable through WhatsApp. When our flight was delayed and we missed the first night, they were more than happy to have someone there in the early morning to let us in when the ferry arrived. We rented a car and was able to park it on site even though it wasn't pre-arranged. The air WORKED!! Not always something that is a given on the islands. The location was PERFECT! I highly recommend going to Alberts tour company just a short walk away to rent cars at a very reasonable rate. We got one for about $188 USD for two days. That saved us a ton on cab rides and we got to explore the island without booking tours saving us even more as a family of 4. We bought groceries at the Super U just a short walk away (though we did have a car). This allowed us to enjoy two meals a day at the room with our amazing view without breaking the bank. (A meal out for a family of 4 runs about $70+). It was very nice to have baguettes, fruit, and some new treats from he store while playing card games on the porch at night. Brought us together as a family. :) The main room was private enough for hubby and I to have some alone time as well. They have snorkeling gear on site to use along with kayaks. I wish our stay had been LONGER!!!!

The caretakers Suzanne and Vana'a are wonderful, competent, responsive, friendly We met the owner Peter and he was also a brilliant host The accommodations were well maintained, and cheerful, the beds and pillows comfortable. The beach leading to the lagoon and snorkeling was the best feature- plenty of great places to snorkel, safe, easy access with loads of beautiful fish.
