Vassilis Guest House

Beautiful small hotel In the village of Anthousa above the bustle of Parga Town. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. It is family run and the service is very personal and warm. The guest house is immaculately clean and the pool area lovely. Breakfast is served under the trees outside and is all home cooked. The local village has a handful of lovely tavernas and bars plus a bakery and pharmacy. A wonderful stay. We will definately return.

Lovely stay at the guest house, Sophia and Sophie were very welcoming, retired owners were also very welcoming, great accommodation and rooms, breakfast was great with a wide choice, location was first class. Plenty to do around the area, pool was cold to begin with but aff xx yet a few days starting to warm up.

We stayed in Vassilis Guest house for eleven nights in early July 2022. Wow!! This is a simply stunning property perched up in the hills just above Parga town, in the picture perfect village of Anthousa. We were in a lovely two bedroom apartment with spectacular views overlooking the Ionian Sea. Vassilis is set amidst a lush garden of olive trees, lemon trees and colourful flowers with a beautiful swimming pool. It is a family run hotel with its own taverna. The food in the taverna is of the highest quality, with different options every night. Octopus, calamari and sea bass were my highlights. But traditional, local dishes were also cooked daily and they were also outstanding. So good was the food, that we ate there on eight occasions out of our eleven night stay. Incredible value for money too!! Breakfast is also included in the rate. And what a feast that proved to be. Freshly cooked savouries and sweets served daily with fruit, salad, eggs, yoghurt, juice….But to make all this work, you need exceptional people. And the family here are exactly that. We felt special and part of the family from the moment we arrived and that’s because this family and staff are special too. They made our stay one of the most memorable ever. Epirus, in particular the region of Parga and Anthousa, is a hidden gem. As is Vassilis Guesthouse. And a special shout out to the lovely Fotini…..she works so hard, offers tonnes of local advice, but is always laughing and smiling. Thank you so much.

Very nice location, idilid garden under olive trees. The pool very clean and the food in the taverna excellently. The hosts are kind and the service was one of the best in Greece. The rooms are cozy, very clean! Highly recommended!

We have just had a fabulous stay at Vassillis guest house. Situated in the village of Anthousa 5 minutes drive from Parga. The room was exceptionally clean light and airy with a fridge and balcony. The breakfast was amazing, typically greek with home made pastries and cake. The staff were super friendly and helpful (especially Vicky) with information on the area and recommended places to visit. There is a lovely garden and pool and everything is beautifully maintained. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here just perfect. There are some nice walks from the village but would recommend a car. Would also highly recommend eating in the Vasillis taverna (where you have breakfast) delicious Greek traditional food and very reasonable too.

What a great place! We would have loved to stay longer than three nights, we had to move on, but we sure will be back. The room was spotless every day, the owners are very friendly, the breakfast is too good and too much, and they cook wonderful meals at night. On top of that you get Vicky, who knows everything about the village and the wide environment, and is a top hostess, who does everything she can to make you feel at home, and gives you good tips for the day trips.
