I found and messaged the host on Airbnb asking if they can offer a better rate, to which they did. I paid the offer they sent immediately. Shortly after, they requested a price change of TRIPLE the amount I had paid. I shared my discomfort with the fact and without trying to help me they just cancelled the booking. A gross display of misconduct and clearly a marketing strategy to in turn get you to pay a deposit basically. I can only find comfort in the fact I will get a refund but I write this to warn you that your quoted price might not be the actual rate. I would give 0 stars if I could.
