Very negative experience during a school trip. The rooms were really small, to the point that with the luggage on the floor, you couldn’t walk from one side of the room to the other. The windows couldn’t be opened even in the tilt position, and when closed, they smelled bad. Additionally, some electrical outlets didn’t work, making it difficult even to charge devices. The rooms were never cleaned during our 5-day stay, and towels were only changed every two days. There were mice in the hotel lobby, reported multiple times to the staff, but they did nothing to address the issue. For three consecutive nights, dinner was only fish, with no alternatives. For a school group, a bit of variety or consideration for dietary needs would have been expected. From 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, any noise was prohibited: even talking at a normal volume would cause security to arrive, threatening to kick us out of the hotel. We also reported a broken thermostat in the room, with the temperature stuck at 25°C, but no one ever came to fix it. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and completely uninterested in guest comfort. Poorly managed hotel and absolutely not recommended, especially for schools and groups. There are basic standards of comfort and hygiene that were completely ignored here.

very dirty had men try get into my friends rooms wouldn’t recommend very loud staff are nice but are clueless at the same time would 100% not come here again most food was rotten or raw had to stick to croissants and bread had 2 vending machine that’s it

Fantastic stays again. A great city option, a mix of hotel and hostel. Lovely comfortable room and great breakfast. Mohamed and Apu both so helpful and very good hosts at breakfast. Location good for public transport options. Look forward to exploring other Meininger locations.

Very nice hotel. At first, hotel and room was very clean, which is very important to us. Stuff is kind and friendly. Breakfast was average, nothing special, food that most of us eat every day. No fried eggs, no sausages, no bacon. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel has kitchen and washing machines for guests, which can be very useful. Usage of kitchen is free, which is good. But, I rate this hotel with 3/5 because of room temperature. Hotel has central heating system which is set to 19 Celsius degrees, so it is cold and unpleasant temperature for us. We sad that to the stuff and they sad that it is normal temperature. For us it was very cold, in our home temperature in the cold winter is 24-25 Celsius degrees with good heating. Good thing is that we were outside the whole day, and used room only for sleeping. Also, window in the room is blocked, so it can not open to ventilate the room, I don't know why. Bathroom was spacious and clean, with hot water. Location of the hotel is well connected to all major parts of the city and tourist attractions.

We already stayed in an excellent Meininger hotel in Germany, so we thought we can book this one in Paris we both eyes closed. But it was a very different experience: although the room was large enough and clean, it lacked the most amenities you just expect in a modern hotel. It looks and feels very industrial, and it has neither any charm, nor did anyone pay attention to the room outfit. There‘s for example no cabinet, no freaking fridge!, and the single beds are just 80 cm. wide, you can‘t open the window in your room (not even a gap), the room felt VERY overheated, and despite trying many times, there was no way to influence the temperature in the room. Many things in the room are sub-low price quality, like all of the lamps, the coat hooks on the wall (for the lack of a cabinet), and overall, iI couln‘t escape the feeling that I was staying in a gloryfied jail cell. Add the constant bad smell in the reception, probably from the guest kitchen, I don‘t know, but it permanently smelled somehow putrid in the ground floor. Location: it’s in a safe district of Paris, you can walk there at night without feeling threatened. At the reception I was told that the Metro-station (Porte de Vincennes) is 5 minutes away, however this is only valid for a hardend narathon-man. I‘m a fast walker, but it took me 15 minutes, each time. All in all, I‘m pretty sure it was a one-off experience for us.

Private bathroom rooms with four beds. Blankets on the bed were small size. Cold rooms and heating not working. Very noisy rooms around with school people on school trip. Breakfast was more like a school cafeteria. Oh, and my room was not made… The only thing similar to a hotel was the price.

Don’t book here!! You’re better off staying in a hostel. Absolutely hard beds, cramped rooms. The photos are very deceiving!! Stay away! We ended up leading our room after management wouldn’t honor any refund. It wasn’t worth losing valuable time in Paris for. It is very far from everything and looks run down!
