Hotel du Chemin Vert

Well located hotel, with cosy rooms - ideal for a solo traveller. Compact room, with a comfy bed, super clean room - with all amenities in the room tea/coffee,TV, hairdryer, WiFi etc. A quiet hotel, with friendly staff in an ideal location for visiting Paris via the nearby metro station

This is a small cheap three star hotel and as such the facilities are acceptable. I found the staff pleasant and polite. Our room was on the 6th floor, and you need to bear in mind the lift only goes to the fifth, so I had to climb one flight of stairs which was acceptable, the lift is very small, but is acceptable. Safe in room coffee and tea making but no fridge and the cardboard cups supplied could be better. TV with a selection of channels including BBC News. Very clean and comfortable room. Towels were changed every day. We were there for the olympics and as such the price was reasonable compared to other hotels. Small bars and restaurants near by and a couple of small supermarkets open late. If you want a fancy hotel stay at a Hilton or Raddison or equivalent . This Hotel is acceptable and I would be happy to stay again. There is a 24 hour front of house concierge, I cannot comment on the breakfast as we ate out all the time. You get what you pay for and I was happy with my stay

Skip this hotel. Rude receptionist. My mother and I were a bit stranded due to lack of cell service and she wouldn’t let us quickly use wifi. My mother was severely fatigued, and we are well dressed and well mannered. I had also just finished listening to her rudely speak to someone checking in. She told me no and muttered something about all of the area, having no service and waved me away. I instead went two doors down to a small restaurant, and the owner, without hesitation, allowed me to use his hotspot connection. Within five minutes, my mother and I were on our way in a taxi. It really doesn’t cost anyone to be kind, but not everyone is or does something so small and unforgettable. I am in Paris often and know many frequent travelers here. Please stay elsewhere.

Teeny tiny room, but served its purpose. Small bathroom (if you're a larger person, you may struggle) Check in was easy and staff very polite. Location close to train station Voltaire. There is a lift but only will fit bags and a single person. Not much around the area but cheap

This may have been a full 3-star hotel at the time of Napoleon Bonaparte. Guests arte not offered a mere bottle of water, nor can they buy one in the premises. Hotel personnel rather nice, but unable to secure a taxi - even when asked with plenty of time

I don't really understand the bad reviews as we had an excellent experience! The hotel is cheap- you get what you pay for but it's got everything you could need. Great shower, comfy bed and aircon which was much appreciated. The hotel offers left luggage too so when you check out you can leave it behind the desk- this is fab. Hotel is within walking distance to amazing restaurants and bakeries and also walkable to the metro which takes you to all the tourist attractions. There's also a nice park behind to sit in with a picnic. I've recommended chemin vert to everyone and will be coming back when I next come to Paris!
