Ibis Hotels in Paris

I stayed in this hotel with my 6 year old daughter from the 24th of July til the 28th of July and I must say I did not have the best experience there. Firstly in my booking that I made with booking.com it said that the price included breakfast so I was shocked to hear that I had to pay for my daughter 4 days of breakfast on top. It said clearly breakfast was included.. If I book a room for both of us and the breakfast is included surely it is for both of us?? I sent several messages to get a refund but they never reply and before my trip I sent them emails about my trip but never got any replies. Also I found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful when I was asking for things when I was there, especially a black tall guy who was just rolling his eyes and staring even when I asked for an iron like it was a problem. When I asked for directions instead of actually explaining things to me I was just given a map, maybe as the English was not very good but I think hotel staff should speak sufficient English. Breakfast was good selection but once again the staff there hardly smiled always seemed rushed and pushing through the queues putting down their croissants, very rude. I been working 22 years as cabin crew so I know what good customer service is like. Also they put a transaction hold of £70 on my debit card that has not been refunded. Lastly I should have checked the location better but coming back late at night is not very safe at all, especially with a young daughter. Lots of dodgy people around.

Everything was perfect and the staff were very helpful and very friendly. The room was very cosy and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable! We had a nice view from the window. The breakfast had a good selection of food and choices. A very pleasant stay, I would highly recommend!

Very tiny room, bu the location is good and not far from Montparnasse railway station. Breakfast is ok but not really fits to my tastes. Recommended for one single night for business travelers.

Firstly, the price was fantastic. The location is close to a Metro station and a bus stop. It is only 25 minutes from the Eiffel Tower by Metro. It is also close to the train station by bus. The reception area was welcoming they also spoke good English. The room was very clean, and had air conditioning. The shower was great and also clean. Don’t be put off by the stairwell on the road towards the hotel when you first arrive (coming from the metro). It is near a police station, very well lit, so also very safe. I would stay here again!

It is a relatively formal and modern hotel, with a serious lobby and front desk on the first floor, which makes people feel at ease. Facilities: relatively new, complete and tidy. The disadvantage is that there is no bright headlight in the room, and it is still dark when the light is turned on. The windows of the room are high and small like a prison window, which cannot be opened for ventilation, nor can it see the scenery and transmit light well Hygiene: not bad Environment: Located in the suburbs, the subway and bus commuting time to the downtown attractions is basically more than 40 minutes. However, the suburbs are relatively quiet and easy to rest. Service: It's okay, but I chose to stay for three consecutive days, but I have to go to the front desk to refresh the card every day, otherwise I can't use the elevator and room.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for a vacation. It is incredibly convenient to the Montmarte restaurants, shops, and a little grocery store around the corner. The fellow who checked us in was very friendly, but he misunderstood our question about whether breakfast was included or not, so we ended up assuming that breakfast was complimentary each day, but it was not. When we were checking out, we were surprised by the breakfast buffet charges and asked the clerk to speak with his manager. The manager was Prisca and she immediately came out of her office and listened to our issue. She said that the first clerk who checked us in was brand new and therefore incorrectly told us our breakfasts were complimentary. Throughout our interaction with Prisca, she listened fully and told her rationale without being condescending or rude. She ended up only charging us for half the breakfast charges that our family incurred. We were happy that she gave us a break, but the nicer part was that she always stayed professional and pleasant and said she would retrain the clerk. After this interaction that could have turned negative, Prisca was kind enough to still help us book a large shuttle van and made sure that it arrived on time and we understood the pricing. We appreciate hotel staff like Prisca who are gems in the service industry. We won't hesitate to come back for another visit in the future.

The location of this Hotel is what immediately attracted us to stay here - there's no denying it's in a great spot. Walking distance from the louvre and montmartre. The majority of the photos of the hotel seem to be advertising the foyer, reception and dining area which are all relatively modern and nicely decorated. However our room really wasn't great and I would have expected much more for the price of around £200 per night. We went on NYE so this may have increased the price we paid, however the 4 star trip advisor rating also was not reflected in the room. Our en suite was a wet room with a blocked shower drain that flooded the entire bathroom every time one of us took a shower. It also smelt really quite bad in the bathroom and generally didn't really feel very clean. My last gripe would be that they took £200 out of my account 7 days before I arrived at the hotel and still hasn't been returned 5 days after checking out (this is out-with the cost of the room which was paid in full on arrival). I don't believe I was told this would happen when I booked the room and this has never happened to me before so I am quite annoyed about it. I've never had any kind of 'deposit' taken from my account days before arriving at a hotel and not been given it back for further days after. Despite this the staff were very friendly and helpful and our stay wasn't impacted by the quality of room.

The toilet in my room was broken so the manager suggested I change rooms as they did not have any maintenance staff available to fix it. My second room was opposite the lifts and all night I was kept awake by the ‘ding dong’ of the life arriving. It seems ridiculous to have this intrusive noise activated all night. Also, the walls are so thin that it sounds like the couple in the next room were having their conversation in my room. The attitude of the staff was dreadful; when I complained about my broken toilet, the receptionist said, ‘we’re a three star hotel, what do you expect?’ Shocking attitude. It’s a three star hotel, charging four star prices with one star facilities. Dismal, characterless and shabby with aggressive and rude staff. NEVER AGAIN!

I was on the 7th floor, at the back. Friday night. A temperate controlling unit is in the room, with a dial and 2 switches next to it - none of the controls did anything. The shower temperature changed a lot, and the shower tray filled up fast. The establishment itself is not too bad, and friendly staff - I've stayed in many Ibis's (across Europe) and the staff are always fantastic. Good location for restaurants, bars and interesting shops etc. I'll give it 4, but the shower drain, the water temperature's quick changing and the temperature controlling unit, needs sorting out/ fixing. People rate Ibis's like they thought they were going to stay at a 5 star hotel, which is ridiculous (reflects on their own ignorance) ..I know what to expect and rate accordingly IE your staying in one of the most amazing cities on earth, but you're not paying 'the earth'.

Currently staying here, tonight is our second out of three nights for me and my sister. Pleased to say that we’re very glad we booked this hotel! Everything you could need is close in the area, lots of nice restaurants and bars are close, so are shops and transport links to easily get to the main attractions in Paris. Staff at the hotel are friendly, rooms are clean and spacious and there’s a good continental breakfast too! Also Jean Marc (I’m sure this was his name) on the evening who served me pizza couldn’t have been kinder and more attentive; what a lovely man! So would also definitely like to give him a deserved shout out of appreciation too!
