Parkes Hotels with Bars

We stayed only one night on the 23/02/2022. However, if not for work and other commitments, we would have loved to had stayed longer. The staff were typical country people, polite, relaxed and very accommodating. We had driven up from Sydney that morning to attend a relatives funeral in the afternoon. Unlike some other places, they allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived, allowing our family to have a bit of a break and get changed prior to the service. As we got back to the Motel a little later then expected, the restaurant was a half hour off closing and therefore, thought we were too late to get something for dinner. But once again, nothing was a problem and they prepared the three of us a lovely meal, which they served in our room. There pool is lovely, clean, indoors and have towels for you to use if required. We found the room spacious, very clean, comfortable and truly value for money. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay at the North Parkes again and would like to congratulate and thank the staff for their assistance and making our stay much more pleasant given the circumstances.

Greatly eaten in Chinese kitchen

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Coachman Hotel Motel Parkes in a Queen Room during June while attending a conference in Parkes. The motel is located on the edge of the CBD and is an easy level walk to shops and cafes in town. Although only one block from the Newell Highway we did not hear any traffic noise. The motel has a mixture of ground floor and first floor units, and following booking when my wife injured her foot I contacted the motel to request a ground floor unit and they were able to accommodate us. Some points for guests to note: * There is no separate reception - at check in you pay at the hotel bar. * The rooms have a microwave and also full plates and cutlery. * A full size kettle is provided, which I always find a bonus when trying to fill a thermos! * The washbasin is located in the motel unit separate to the ensuite shower and toilet. The ensuite has a sliding door. * The shower was very large. The rooms are a fair size although somewhat dated. Importantly the bed was very comfortable. At $119 per night we thought the Coachman Hotel/Motel is very good value and would stay again. TC

One of the best motels you can get for the price. I go to QLD from VIC almost every year for holiday and via Newell Hwy and almost every time our first stop is Parkes and we stay with them. The quality and cleanliness and amenities are unparalleled for the price. More than enough and specious parking. I had a rough count and it seemed there are twice as much parking spaces compared to number of rooms. Also the entrance is really high. Maybe 3m or even higher perhaps so people doing long road trip with high vehicles and stuff on their roof rack can get inside without problem. I carry a bag or two on the roof and it is suboptimal when you have to take them down just to enter a motel which is often and my 4WD doesn’t have a lift or anything. The staff are very polite and very good with communication. Late check ins were a breeze. Last time we had a free room upgrade and the room we stayed in was more like a hotel than a motel with a bath and all, TVs and ACs in every room etc. Looking forward to staying with them again.
