"New comfy beds & pillows, we were looking forward to a cosy nights sleep. Room 18 is near the kitchen , we were kept awake till after midnight with people using the shared kitchen facilities. No response from Thomas after we’d made him aware that evening or the next day. It impacted our next day in Port Douglas as we were both very tired. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived & noted my points before we left."

"The facilities are quite old, there are dust and insects and hair dryers, it is good to stay for one night, but it is not enough to stay for one more night. It is suitable for driving north to the rest point of Daintree forest . The car is parked at the door of the room and it is very convenient to take luggage. Although the location of the self-service check-in check-out. is remote, there is a big supermarket next to it."

"Let me start by saying — this place looks like a five-star resort, and honestly, it’s almost pulling it off. From the front desk to the landscaping, the vibes are immaculate. Reception staff? Absolute pros. Warm, efficient, and welcoming. The hotel itself? Gorgeous. The grounds? Pristine. It cannot go unsaid that the place is surely lovely! But then… housekeeping entered the chat. I don’t know if they were short-staffed or just spiritually opposed to consistency, but cleaning was less “meticulous upkeep” and more “vague suggestion.” Every day was a fresh new episode of What Will They Forget This Time? Towels? Maybe. Trash bins? Who knows. Soap? That’s a Tuesday-only luxury, apparently. One day the bed was made, but the sinks and mirrors clearly hadn’t been touched. Another day, they left their cleaning supplies in the bathroom—so at least some effort was made, I guess? The shower floor remained perpetually sandy, a charming little ecosystem of ants set up camp in our kitchenette, and the grand finale: we returned from a day exploring the stunning Daintree to find our room door left wide open. Thanks, housekeeping. Truly unforgettable. By day five I wasn’t even mad, I was invested. Was this performance art? Were we part of a social experiment? Is this how minimalism starts? So yeah, stunning hotel, flawless front desk, but housekeeping? Shithouse! Blinds are filthy in the rooms and no sheer curtains for day time privacy. Would I return? Maybe. But I’m bringing my own towels. And a mop."

"It was good, hotel rooms are definitely a little worn, stains on the carpet and small stains on the couches, furniture quite worn out too. The restaurant doesn't have many options food wise, quite limited and the pool bar definitely needed another staff member as the one guy was flat out."

"Very nice and well located hotel. Rooms are actually fully equipped two room apartments with two baths. and really tasty furnished. 100m from Four Mile Beach. The only criticism from my side is that the restaurant is a little narrowly measured for breakfast and so small things like a bean marmelade beside the Veggiemite unprinted in a dark corner ;-)"

"The hotel is beautiful, pool, grounds and spotlessly clean. The staff were really helpful (especially the English girl), not far to walk from town and harbour. Bedding and towels immaculate, they even supplied beach/pool towels. Our only concern was that there was a bit of maintenance work going on as end of season which was noisy and the pool bar wasn’t well stocked, and we’d have loved some eggs at breakfast as sourdough and guacamole was provided!! We were offered a reasonably priced upgrade and allowd to keep our room a couple hours longer that 10am on departure. Overall we loved relaxing by the pool, and think the price reflected the very minor issues."
