"Wakeup Copenhagen - Carsten Niebuhrs Gade: After a nightmare stay at City Hotel Nebo (Istedgade 6, 1650 København V, Denmark) where I couldn't sleep and my skin was itching due to dirty conditions including hair in the sink and no hygiene products available, Wakeup Copenhagen was my salvation. Immaculate cleanliness, modern minimalist room on 8th floor with marvelous city view, comfortable bed where I finally slept after 48 hours of exhaustion, clean shower with good water pressure, good quality breakfast, very good reception lobby, perfect location near Dybbølsbro Station (500m) and easy access to Copenhagen Bus Terminal for my FlixBus, excellent value at €62-70. Rating: 9/10. Compared to City Hotel Nebo (-3/10), this was heaven. The contrast was shocking - from dirty and uncomfortable to clean, modern, and peaceful. This hotel saved my trip and gave me the rest I needed to enjoy my last day in Copenhagen. Absolutely recommended for solo travelers who value cleanliness! "Very very basic living space. Not much room for 2 huge luggages. Check in strictly at 3pm with no free luggage storage, which should be a basic for accommodation. Location is not bad with direct bus to/fro the airport. Room came with 1 pillow and we had to ask for another one which staff said could be found below the bed. Err, but without casing. 2 of us slept with 1 small square pillow for 2 nights. Room have no kettle, nothing."

"Stayed at Copenhagen Island Hotel during my trip to Copenhagen. The hotel has a great waterfront location and the rooms are modern and comfortable. It’s also conveniently located near the train station and shopping area, making it easy to get around the city. However, one downside during my stay was that the tap water in the bathroom appeared yellowish. Because of this, I didn’t feel comfortable using the bathtub at all. Aside from that, the stay was generally fine and the location is definitely a plus."

"The room is clean enough and a little bit small but there is enough space to spend to chill after long sightseeing. The wall is thin so we can listen to the noise from other rooms. "The hotel was very clean and tidy. The front desk staff were super friendly. Although the room didn't have a kettle, free hot water was available from the coffee machine at the front desk. You'll need to take a bus or light rail to get to the city center."

"For the room I stayed in is really small. Even I am short, I could not sit straight on my bed ( can refer to the picture I uploaded). The toilet and the bathroom is really cold, especially for right side of the bathroom as there is no heater inside. And the cleaning staff, their service attitude a bit worse. During the morning hour, they will clean the toilet and bathroom, also for the checked-out bed. From my experience, they stared at me and made me feel uncomfortable and ”under pressure”, seems I should not stay at the area (where they are cleaning). Also, I found that they changed the pillow cover and bed sheet on floor(disgusting). However, the reception is nice. As it is a hostel, it is reasonable for them to charging fee from the shampoo, shower gel, or service (like storing luggage service). However, I have never heard and experienced that  accommodation does not provide hairdryer for free(cost $50 dkk). It is alarming to everyone who would like to  book this hostel when coming to Copenhagen, you need to bring  shampoo, shower gel, teeth blush, etc. If it is possible bring your own hairdryer as well, it is costly for you to bring one for just a few days.  I would totally not recommend people to stay in this hostel cause there is better options with the similar price (like airbnb or other hostel chain)."

"They initially gave me the wrong room, a twin bed instead of a double, and then when I finally got a new room, the key card didn't work. It took three attempts to finally check in. The room was tiny, I couldn't even open my suitcase, and there was no daily room cleaning (I later found out you have to book it a day in advance). There's no phone in the room to call the front desk, and they don't offer luggage storage; you have to pay to use lockers on the basement floor. This hotel really opened my eyes to the prices and service in Denmark... Fellow Chinese travelers, please avoid this place."

LLing15 - 20min walk away from main attractions. There’s a lake in front of hotel that’s nice.  Hotel drop off point are stairs to go in, take note if you are taking heavy luggage. No aircon in hotel only fan that you can’t adjust speed.  Additional bed for kid charge at 300kr per night.  Family bicycle available for rent at 600kr per day.  Happy hour with free drink from 5-6 pm daily. Artistic interior and nice garden. Also creepy artwork on the wall.  Overall not bad experience, some staff are friendly some are not.

GGuest UserI had a very satisfying stay! The hotel service was incredibly thoughtful, with all the little details being perfect. They provide toothbrushes and other toiletries, which you can also get for free by scanning a QR code. The breakfast was excellent, with freshly made omelets. They even adjust the meal times on weekends. If you skip housekeeping for consecutive nights, you get drink vouchers for the bar, good for beer, wine, or soft drinks.

It was Valentine's Day when I checked in, and the hotel even gave us chocolates, which was a very thoughtful touch. Copenhagen is a beautiful city, and I'll definitely come back.

TTej ErwinsThis is one of the hotels I’ve stayed for quite long as I really liked it. I had to switch between two different rooms as I couldn’t extend my stay in one room. That said, it already speaks volume about the quality and efficiency of stay in this hotel. Hotels staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms are so spacious even for a single occupant. Plus what I liked the most is that there are kitchenettes in each room which has a sink, a fridge, an induction stove, and several kitchen utensils and stuff you can use. Yes, you can definitely prepare and cook your own meals without spending too much on dine outs. They also offer breakfast and dinner for a separate fee. Also, their laundry service is justifiable with DKK 40 for washing and drying for every load (not per unit). And the other highlights? ~ it’s pretty accessible to the Metro Station, nearby shops and grocery stores, and the ever stunning Amager Beach overlooking the amazing Øresund Bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden. I loved and enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Their price is valid and worth it. I highly recommend for you to try yourself. And I’ll definitely book it again soonest when I get back to Denmark, hopefully. ❣️😇🙏🏼

There are also metro and bus stops nearby, making it very convenient to get to the city center and several attractions. The hotel itself is a landmark, and the room size is decent. The bathroom is quite spacious, and the breakfast selection is also rich. After staying for two days, I feel it offers good value for money.

GGuest UserThe room was a bit small. It's about a 10-minute walk from the central station, but closer to the tram stop, which is more convenient for getting to attractions like Nyhavn. Breakfast for 59 DKK was a bit basic, just bread, yogurt, and coffee. Check-in is at 3 PM. Luggage storage is 25 DKK for 3 hours, and 40 DKK for 6 hours. Access to the kitchen, which has a fridge, kettle, microwave, and utensils, costs 25 DKK for your entire stay. When I checked in, the lock on my locker was broken, but the front desk staff quickly came up and fixed it after I reported it. I was very satisfied with their efficiency and problem-solving, but I hope the staff will check if the facilities are in working order after guests check out. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, as well as a Netto supermarket if you want to buy groceries to cook.

WWei ZiThis is a no-frills hotel that is good for a short stay. The location is fantastic as it is within walking distance to the main station for metros and trains. The room was very big and we could lay out both of our large suitcases with ease. The neighbourhood is lively but the room was insulated from the hustle and bustle from the streets and we had a good sleep during our stay.
