"I arrived early, but I couldn't enter my room until check-in time at 2pm. There are no keys. You are given a piece of paper with your room number and a 6-digit PIN to unlock the room. If you lose this piece of paper, the hotel name, room number and PIN will be known, so I memorized the PIN and left it in my room before going out.
You can only borrow a TV remote control or hair dryer if you request it from the front desk. Hot water can be made in the kitchen, and there is a microwave in front of the elevator, which is convenient. I think this is a well-balanced hotel for the price."

"I was travelling for work. This hotel was in a very convenient location. You can catch a tram or a bus to the central or to a metro stop that take you to the central (if you want to be on a faster route). However, you can also just walk to the metro stop which is about 10-15 mins walk.
It is also in a short walking distance to a beautiful park with a free entrance ”zoo”. It's a great place to go for a picnic lunch. The only thing is it is not close to a big supermarket although you can still get some sort of groceries nearby.
I didn't explore the other facilities in the hotel nor did I tried their breakfast and other meals. So, I can't comment on those."

"We were in the way, because we were looking for a apartment. We wanted to extend, unfortunately there was no place anymore. Super stay, it has made us a lot of disturbance. We loved the stay, there is a young girl at the super nice reception. At home level, a little bad that it was done once a week. We have been two weeks, we have had the house only once, not famous. If you don't have a good stay, just at the kitchen level, you need to look back to the dust, but that's not normal. It's enormous dust on the covers, glasses and others. Otherwise the rest at the top."

"I stayed for 3 nights and was a very comfortable throughout. Room size is small but bed is big and linen new and clean. Coffee and tea corner is well stocked. Perhaps 2 water bottles can be provided rather than one. The breakfast spread was great and food very tasty. Staff is amazing, spoke fluent English and always greeted with smile. Will certainly recommend"

The bathroom was simple yet very well maintained. The shower was equipped with a water-saving system, which I appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I had a wonderful experience overall.
On the day of my departure, I paid €93 for transportation from the hotel to the airport. I recommend checking alternative transportation options in advance."

"Awesome hotel. The MRT is just outside. The waiters are very friendly. There is a small refrigerator in the room and it is very cold. This is the only time I stayed in the room that there is a refrigerator, and it is really a refrigerator. Many hotels do not have it, even if they have it. It's often not cold enough, which is very insincere, so it's better not to put it in. In addition, there is free water, drinks and snacks in the refrigerator, which is really good~"

"The check-in process. I arrived at 10 PM and discovered it was impossible to access the property without first completing an online registration to get an access code. The most frustrating part was having to pay the city tax separately online before receiving this crucial code. Why isn't this tax included directly in the total price when booking online? It would avoid cumbersome steps on a smartphone in front of the door late at night, especially when the room is already paid for. Automation should simplify the customer's life, not add administrative hurdles in the middle of the night. I do not recommend this establishment if you're looking for a smooth experience."

"This hotel is weird. The room is stayed in had a first and a second door. The first door looked like a service cupboard door. The room was tiny and while there was a nice big windows i guess it used to be a servant's room adjoining a master suite? Not sure, but it was definitely something else before. Anyway the room worked as a bedroom but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there long term other than for the breakfast that was excellent and in a gorgeous room. They also had these nice freshwater dispensers on each floor. The lifts are not coordinated but the art on the stairs made up for having to climb them. In all I would say it was like they had a lovely old building and didn't want to mess with its bones too much. However, in order to make it into a modern functioning hotel they had to make some changes, which then they did a bit sporadically and on the cheap."

GGuest UserThe location is OK, next to the transportation hub of Perrache. It takes about five minutes from getting off the subway to walking into the hotel. It's not bad if you have big luggage to carry, as you don't have to walk much in the subway station.
The hotel itself, as others have said, is nothing. But it is also possible to turn the cost savings into more favorable housing prices.
There is no resteraunt in the hotel itself, but there is a restaurant next door.
Next to him is the greet hotel, a competitor
Lyon itself is not very big, it feels like a third-tier city in China, so it is still very convenient to live here.

GGuest UserWe stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour.
The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer.
The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day.
We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

AAng_ieOur stay at Hotel Beau Rivage felt like a quiet pause along the journey. It’s the kind of place where you slow down without trying, simply because of where you are.
The location is truly lovely—surrounded by nature, with greenery all around. It immediately felt peaceful, almost grounding, as if the hotel blends naturally into its surroundings rather than standing apart from them.
One of the highlights was the view over the Rhône River. Watching the water flow by added a gentle rhythm to our stay, whether in the soft morning light or later in the day as everything settled into evening. It’s the sort of view that makes you linger a little longer, even if you’re just passing through.
As a stopover location, the hotel worked perfectly. It was convenient, easy to access, and restful—exactly what you hope for when breaking up a longer journey.
Hotel Beau Rivage didn’t need to do much to impress. The natural setting, the river views, and its ease as a stopover made it a calm and memorable place to rest before moving on.

Ssunny20081The hotel is next to the subway, just up a hill from the subway entrance. It's a bit inconvenient to climb uphill with a big suitcase, but you can see a good view in front of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the White Apple Plaza, and you can see interesting graffiti on the way there. The single room I booked also has a small kitchen with cooking tools, but I didn't use it. There are several types of cheese for breakfast, including two types of Presidential brand👍. I will choose to stay here again if I go to Lyon again.

The accommodation is functional, clean and large enough for a person.
Although located next to the motorway, the room is effectively isolated.
One bemol, reversible air conditioning works hard and doesn't heat the room too much.
