"Location is near to airport, suitable for those who need transfer on the next day at somewhere around airport but distance travel to Mataram isn’t that far, with smooth traffic, around 40 minutes will reach. The unfavourable part is hard to secure Grab or Gojek during night time at airport. Better book airport transfer with hotel or at Trip.com before reaching there. We got charged idr 80k the moment we reach here, the hotel. At the airport he said charged us idr 18k, still get tested by them with asking where we came from, since we said Malaysia, they tried to play tricks at the price of fetching us. He still asked us to give him the balance due to he got no small cash notes. While we were trying to ask the hotel receptionist whether he got small notes, the driver rushed down from the car and communicate using their language. Doesn’t feel good at that time."

"Location and cleanliness were good, and the service was friendly. The breakfast was enjoyable with many options available. The room was large and comfortable, with a proper working desk which was very useful for business travelers.
I stayed for 3 nights in the first room, but the shower was a bit old and the water did not spread properly. The bathroom drainage was also quite slow. I then moved to another room for 1 night, and the shower condition there was much better.
Overall, it was still a good and comfortable stay."

"The beautiful garden, the outdoor shower was totally highlight of this resort, breakfast was buffet first two days, later it turned to à la carte but can order all of the main dishes as you want, but took around 40 minutes to have it done, the table beside us arrived later but already ate and left. Other down side was the incredible amount of insects army insider the room, seems hard to avoid because of the garden and surroundings.
Front desk Herman was a hearty gentleman who always made sure we’re well cared, the restaurant girl who I forgot her name is always doing her best to serve.
Got a nice affordable rate due to low season, will definitely consider if the rates remains."

"I stayed here for one night with my partner and we had a lovely time. The room was spacious and so clean. The breakfast buffet was lovely and had so much choice. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was really tasty. The mini gym is great for a quick workout and I recommend going to the rooftop pool for sunset as you can see the most beautiful views from all around. Very happy with the price and service overall."

I can also travel to Gili Islands from the hotel, but best if we go to Bangsal Harbour which is 40 mins from hotel, as the cost is cheaper 25k rupiah, compared to hotel around 1.07 million rupiah if I’m not mistaken(as they use private boat)"

GGuest UserMy husband and I recently spent our birthdays and anniversary here and it was literal perfection! The location is 10/10, close enough to everything (including biking to sunset point) but also felt secluded. Gorgeous pool with swim up bar overlooking the picturesque grounds. The food was also the best we had on the island. Amazing massages in room. Staff were SO kind and attentive. The snorkelling trip we did on the Princess Margaux was so great (credit to Kholid for taking some great content on our GoPro!) They also organised a transfer directly from the resort beach to the golf course on Lombok for 9 holes after brekky on the beach for my husband’s birthday. Also one morning we saw turtles in the water as we were waiting for breakfast on the beach and the staff quickly got us a towel, wet shoes and snorkel mask so I could jump right in whilst waiting for food! So lush! As a seasoned traveller I can easily say this was one of the best experiences we’ve had. Thank you so much!

Our vacation in Gili exceeded all expectations, and this amazing hotel is a great credit for this. We found exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, cozy corner where every detail is created for relaxation.
The premier room was made with comfort. The bed is incredibly comfortable and soft. The cleanliness was perfect, which was monitored daily, and the snow-white linen added a sense of homely comfort. A special delight is the bathroom with an open roof — taking a shower under the stars was magical.🛁
The hotel is surrounded by greenery and bright colors, 🌸 behind which you can see the tremulous care of the staff. And right across the street, literally 30 seconds away, begins the best beach with giant sea turtles! Seeing them every day by the shore is priceless.🐢
Furry residents: Cute red cats live on the territory, which create a special atmosphere of home warmth. Be sure to feed them when you stop here! And just behind the hotel there is a local shelter for cats. If you have the opportunity, take some food there or make a small donation. It's a small thing for you, but it's a huge help for them.🐈

Наш отдых на Гили превзошёл все ожидания, и огромная заслуга в этом — этого удивительного отеля. Мы нашли именно то, что искали: тихий, уютный уголок, где каждая деталь создана для расслабления.
Номер премьер был выполнен с комфортом. Кровать невероятно удобная и мягкая. Чистота идеальная за которой следили ежедневно, а белоснежное бельё добавляло ощущение домашнего уюта. Особый восторг это ванная с открытой крышей — принимать душ под звёздами было волшебно.
Отель утопает в зелени и ярких цветах, за которыми виден трепетный уход персонала. А прямо напротив, буквально в 30 секундах ходьбы, начинается лучший пляж с гигантскими морскими черепахами! Видеть их каждый день у самого берега — бесценно.
Пушистые жители: На территории живут милые рыжие котики, которые создают особую атмосферу домашнего тепла. Обязательно покормите их когда остановитесь здесь! А сразу за отелем находится местный приют для кошек. Если у вас будет возможность, отнесите туда немного корма или сделайте небольшой donation. Для вас это мелочь, а для них — огромная помощь.
Отдельная благодарность — менеджеру Сэму! Этот человек с большим сердцем. Он был невероятно внимателен, помогал решать любые вопросы и с такой любовью рассказывал истории об острове и жизни местных, что мы проникались этим местом ещё больше. Сэм, мы всей душой желаем вам скорейшего восстановления и крепкого здоровья! Именно благодаря таким отзывчивым и добрым людям, как вы, такие места становятся по-настоящему особенными.

AAnastasiaGSea Shell Hotel Gili is a small and cozy hotel where we stayed for two nights during our trip to the Gili Islands. The hotel is located inside the island rather than directly on the beach, but the ocean is still within easy walking distance — just a short walk to the left side of the island. Considering the size of Gili, the location is actually quite convenient and quiet.
Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The bathroom was also quite big with good plumbing — hot water was always available and the water pressure was strong. Overall everything was clean and well maintained.
One small thing that felt a bit strange was that we were given only one towel per person. If a place positions itself as a hotel rather than a guesthouse, it would be nice to have at least two towels per guest.
Another detail we didn’t love was the drinking water system. Water is provided in a jug rather than sealed plastic bottles. While it may be more eco-friendly, personally I feel a bit more comfortable when the drinking water comes in sealed bottles.
The hotel has a large swimming pool which looks nice, although we didn’t end up using it — when you’re on Gili, swimming in the ocean feels like the obvious choice.
Breakfast was probably the most disappointing part of the stay. There is a menu, but in reality there aren’t many options to choose from. On the second morning about half of the menu was unavailable when we tried to order, and no explanation was given.

Overall, Sea Shell Hotel Gili is a decent option if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. It’s not perfect, but for a short stay on the island it worked well enough.

GGuest UserThe most annoying thing: the bar/restaurant operates separately from the hotel, and there's no way to pre-authorize your credit card. As a result, you're constantly paying: breakfast, lunch, after-work drinks, dinner... it's impossible to leave without cash.
The hotel staff isn't very efficient: we asked for water, we never got it; we asked for a towel change, the cleaning lady didn't do it; and when we asked to reserve a horse-drawn carriage to take us to the pier, they forgot...

VVery Curious ApeTotal 4 buildings. Deluxe Ultimate Rooms, in a 4-storey building at the back, are newer and very beautifully furnished. Deluxe Classic rooms (in 3-storey buildings) look rather old and worn and some of them (in the first building, nearest to the reception, are under renovation). Some construction work is being carried out now next to the reception and in the first hotel building - thankfully, I didn't hear any noise or disturbance from my room. Reception is very drab-looking and dimly lit and the tiny lobby is not a place you wish to hang around. Standard check in time is overly late, at 3 pm. Didn't use the 2 pools as I was there in the rainy season and most days, it rained on and off throughout the day. New hotel restaurant at the back is air-conditioned (there's outdoor dining area too), very clean and exudes great ambience! Buffet breakfast has lots of choices - some of the selections are good (pizza, finger food and some of the hot dishes) while others, like the pastries (limp and cold) and chilled items (pretty but excessively sweet desserts) didn't appeal to me. Wifi was painfully slow and frequently got disconnected in the room - the strongest signals are in the restaurant and reception. Overall, I love the spacious, beautiful and well furnished new Deluxe Ultimate room, the greenery all around and the friendly staff service.

The cabins are incredibly cozy and set in a beautiful location with stunning views of Mount Rinjani. Everything feels modern and seamless: private parking, QR-code access, a mobile app to control lighting, relaxing ambient music, and fast, reliable internet.
What made the stay even more special was the staff - incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. The team went above and beyond: they adapted dinner to our vegan diet, and even kindly stored our belongings while we went on the trek, which we deeply appreciated.
It’s also the perfect base for starting a Rinjani hike. And if trekking isn’t your thing, the hotel offers plenty of activities, so you can easily stay for a few days without getting bored.
Highly recommended for comfort, nature, and exceptional service.

Room felt a bit wet (cause of rain season) and as a following - full of mosquitoes. Bedding and towels are greyish which added to the a bit worn-out feeling.
Food in the restaurant is average although the idea behind it is quite nice, what’s lacking is the execution.
Breakfast is poor, on our last day they run out of eggs, all other food was some kind of a heavy processed food leaving none options to eat except for fruits.
Spa is good, clean and thoughtful massage for a reasonable price.

WWandering.EngineerWe recently stayed at Jayakarta Lombok and had a pleasant experience overall, thanks to a mix of warm hospitality and beautiful natural surroundings. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the excellent and friendly staff, who were consistently welcoming and attentive. Their warm service made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They even upgraded our room to be right in front of the swimming pool free of charge, which the kids loved!
The general facilities at the hotel were impressive. From the spacious pool area to the lush, well-maintained gardens, the resort has a tranquil, traditional charm. We particularly enjoyed the sound of the waves gently rolling in throughout the day—it added a wonderfully calming backdrop to our stay. The sunset views from the restaurant and beach were simply stunning, offering a perfect setting for evening meals or a quiet moment of reflection.
Breakfast each morning was a treat, with a good variety of options that catered to both local and international tastes. The food prices across the hotel were reasonable, which made dining in-house convenient and budget-friendly.
That said, there were a few areas that could use some improvement. The furniture in the rooms felt quite outdated, which slightly detracted from the overall comfort. Additionally, there’s no iron provided in the rooms, which was a bit inconvenient for longer stays or guests attending events.
On Saturday evening, we found the music to be excessively loud, going on until about 10pm. While some guests may enjoy the atmosphere, it might not be ideal for those seeking a quieter evening, especially those with kids.
We also noticed some inconsistency in the food quality—what was excellent one day could feel average the next. Moreover, while the beach itself is beautiful, it was often quite dirty due to local fishing activity. To their credit, the hotel staff do make a visible effort to keep it clean.
Another consideration is the lack of nearby amenities. There aren’t any ATMs or money exchange options within walking distance, so guests should plan ahead. Lastly, the hotel does not have lifts, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. However, this also contributes to its traditional, resort-style vibe which many will appreciate.
In summary, Jayakarta Lombok offers a relaxing, friendly, and scenic stay that’s ideal for those looking to unwind by the beach. With a few modern updates and consistency improvements, it could be even better.

I left feeling genuinely happy and strangely relaxed — the kind of feeling that sneaks up on you when everything just… works. And even if I can’t explain every reason why, I know I walked away with a really positive impression. I’d absolutely consider staying here again. Probably more than just consider, honestly.
