"Location is near to airport, suitable for those who need transfer on the next day at somewhere around airport but distance travel to Mataram isn’t that far, with smooth traffic, around 40 minutes will reach. The unfavourable part is hard to secure Grab or Gojek during night time at airport. Better book airport transfer with hotel or at Trip.com before reaching there. We got charged idr 80k the moment we reach here, the hotel. At the airport he said charged us idr 18k, still get tested by them with asking where we came from, since we said Malaysia, they tried to play tricks at the price of fetching us. He still asked us to give him the balance due to he got no small cash notes. While we were trying to ask the hotel receptionist whether he got small notes, the driver rushed down from the car and communicate using their language. Doesn’t feel good at that time."

"The location is excellent, right in the heart of Mataram and within walking distance to a large shopping mall. On top of that, it boasts a spacious garden and a swimming pool, making the environment truly superb. However, the room itself was a bit disappointing. The towels provided were quite yellowed, and the shower only had one shower gel, with no soap even at the sink. The breakfast was a buffet, and while the variety wasn't huge, everything tasted delicious (except for the orange juice, which was awful)."

"The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive, and they clearly do their best with the facilities provided. Housekeeping and grounds staff take pride in their work — the room was clean and reasonably well maintained, and the gardens and grounds are genuinely beautiful. This review has absolutely nothing to do with the staff; it’s about dishonest marketing that should be rectified by booking platforms. Several aspects fall short of what is normally expected of a genuine 5-star resort. The staff-to-guest ratio and availability of English-speaking staff are limited, and the rooms lack adequate soundproofing; we could clearly hear neighbouring guests above us moving furniture, laughing, and having normal conversations. Some standard in-room amenities were also missing. There was no iron or ironing board provided, requiring us to request an iron from reception and iron clothes on the bed. The minibar space contained an old, empty fridge, and the Wi-Fi was extremely slow — unable to load even the Netflix menu. This also may have been due to the +-15 year old TV connected to a budget digital box. Most notably, there are no fitness facilities at all — no gym, no fitness room, and no alternative exercise facilities — which is a significant omission for a property marketed as a 5-star resort. The advertised “private beach” is extremely misleading. It is a tiny section barely separated from the public beach, and is, in fact, still a public walkway shared with fishermen and, most annoyingly, local hustlers selling jet ski rides, jewellery, and other items, resulting in frequent interruptions that make relaxing difficult. Overall, this is a pleasant property, but the issue lies with how it is marketed. It is sold and priced as a 5-star resort, comparable to nearby hotels such as the Sheraton, which genuinely meet that standard. While mostly enjoyable, this property does not deliver a true 5-star experience and should not be marketed as such."

"This hotel is pretty good. The location is convenient, and the staff's English communication is perfectly fine. The room was quiet, and breakfast was decent, definitely acceptable for Chinese guests. Plus, there's a supermarket and an ATM nearby, which is very handy."

"Golden Palace Lombok was the most luxurious hotel we stayed at in Mataram. We spent one night here while traveling to the airport. The staff were extremely kind and helpful — we even used the laundry service, and the clothes came back smelling great and in perfect condition. The price was more than reasonable for a room with a double bed and a beautiful city view. You can also enjoy the rooftop, which offers a stunning view of the entire city. If you are planning to stay in Mataram and are looking for something truly luxurious, we can definitely recommend this place."

"Best value for money hotel in Kuta! Smart Double Room's interior is clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Room size though small, is surprisingly well-planned and contains everything you need (large TV, safe, toiletries, coffee/tea, clean flask that you can refill yourself at the lift lobby and a mini-size fridge to store a few bottles of drinks). Hairdryer needs to be requested from the reception if you need it for the duration of your stay. Aircon works perfectly and Wifi is fast and reliable. The location is very pleasant, quiet (I didn't hear prayer calls, noisy bar music or roosters like elsewhere in Kuta) and convenient (a few minimarts and restaurants nearby and 5-minutes' walk to beach). Staff are very friendly, helpful and responded quickly when I requested for help (I'm impressed!). I didn't have breakfast there as I find the buffet selection but not quite my taste but I did have a-la-carte lunches and dinners there (affordable Indonesian and Western dishes) and enjoyed the flavourful and well-presented dishes thoroughly! The only improvement needed is to have some hooks in the shower room."
