"We often use this hotel on our way to or from the Gilis. The location is very close to the airport and allows a quick check in/check out before or after a flight. Rooms and bathrooms are not large but well equipped for a comfortable night. Breakfast buffet is generous and offers Asian and western cuisine. There’s also a bar and a restaurant. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool and offers spa treatments."

Breakfast is above average, decent spread, with a great view.
The pool is amazing at sunset.
Overall a nice stay, except for the parts where there’s a lot of insects and open burning in the nearby villages."

I can also travel to Gili Islands from the hotel, but best if we go to Bangsal Harbour which is 40 mins from hotel, as the cost is cheaper 25k rupiah, compared to hotel around 1.07 million rupiah if I’m not mistaken(as they use private boat)"

"Golden Palace Lombok was the most luxurious hotel we stayed at in Mataram. We spent one night here while traveling to the airport. The staff were extremely kind and helpful — we even used the laundry service, and the clothes came back smelling great and in perfect condition. The price was more than reasonable for a room with a double bed and a beautiful city view. You can also enjoy the rooftop, which offers a stunning view of the entire city. "Lobby is very big and neat, receptionist also very nice. Location far from the others. Room is quite huge, amenities are so so. Price is very affordable with sea view and balcony, but honestly speaking the room was full of ant, and fly. The breakfast isn’t buffet, we need to order with only 3 options. Free to take were limited choice of bread, fruit, and drink. But over all compare to the price, it was ok. Pool and the view was amazing."

Our vacation in Gili exceeded all expectations, and this amazing hotel is a great credit for this. We found exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, cozy corner where every detail is created for relaxation.
The premier room was made with comfort. The bed is incredibly comfortable and soft. The cleanliness was perfect, which was monitored daily, and the snow-white linen added a sense of homely comfort. A special delight is the bathroom with an open roof — taking a shower under the stars was magical.🛁
The hotel is surrounded by greenery and bright colors, 🌸 behind which you can see the tremulous care of the staff. And right across the street, literally 30 seconds away, begins the best beach with giant sea turtles! Seeing them every day by the shore is priceless.🐢
Furry residents: Cute red cats live on the territory, which create a special atmosphere of home warmth. Be sure to feed them when you stop here! And just behind the hotel there is a local shelter for cats. If you have the opportunity, take some food there or make a small donation. It's a small thing for you, but it's a huge help for them.🐈

Наш отдых на Гили превзошёл все ожидания, и огромная заслуга в этом — этого удивительного отеля. Мы нашли именно то, что искали: тихий, уютный уголок, где каждая деталь создана для расслабления.
Номер премьер был выполнен с комфортом. Кровать невероятно удобная и мягкая. Чистота идеальная за которой следили ежедневно, а белоснежное бельё добавляло ощущение домашнего уюта. Особый восторг это ванная с открытой крышей — принимать душ под звёздами было волшебно.
Отель утопает в зелени и ярких цветах, за которыми виден трепетный уход персонала. А прямо напротив, буквально в 30 секундах ходьбы, начинается лучший пляж с гигантскими морскими черепахами! Видеть их каждый день у самого берега — бесценно.
Пушистые жители: На территории живут милые рыжие котики, которые создают особую атмосферу домашнего тепла. Обязательно покормите их когда остановитесь здесь! А сразу за отелем находится местный приют для кошек. Если у вас будет возможность, отнесите туда немного корма или сделайте небольшой donation. Для вас это мелочь, а для них — огромная помощь.
Отдельная благодарность — менеджеру Сэму! Этот человек с большим сердцем. Он был невероятно внимателен, помогал решать любые вопросы и с такой любовью рассказывал истории об острове и жизни местных, что мы проникались этим местом ещё больше. GGuest UserMy husband and I recently spent our birthdays and anniversary here and it was literal perfection! The location is 10/10, close enough to everything (including biking to sunset point) but also felt secluded. Gorgeous pool with swim up bar overlooking the picturesque grounds. The food was also the best we had on the island. Amazing massages in room. Staff were SO kind and attentive. The snorkelling trip we did on the Princess Margaux was so great (credit to Kholid for taking some great content on our GoPro!) They also organised a transfer directly from the resort beach to the golf course on Lombok for 9 holes after brekky on the beach for my husband’s birthday. Also one morning we saw turtles in the water as we were waiting for breakfast on the beach and the staff quickly got us a towel, wet shoes and snorkel mask so I could jump right in whilst waiting for food! So lush! As a seasoned traveller I can easily say this was one of the best experiences we’ve had. Thank you so much!

AAnastasiaGSea Shell Hotel Gili is a small and cozy hotel where we stayed for two nights during our trip to the Gili Islands. The hotel is located inside the island rather than directly on the beach, but the ocean is still within easy walking distance — just a short walk to the left side of the island. Considering the size of Gili, the location is actually quite convenient and quiet.
Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The bathroom was also quite big with good plumbing — hot water was always available and the water pressure was strong. Overall everything was clean and well maintained.
One small thing that felt a bit strange was that we were given only one towel per person. If a place positions itself as a hotel rather than a guesthouse, it would be nice to have at least two towels per guest.
Another detail we didn’t love was the drinking water system. Water is provided in a jug rather than sealed plastic bottles. While it may be more eco-friendly, personally I feel a bit more comfortable when the drinking water comes in sealed bottles.
The hotel has a large swimming pool which looks nice, although we didn’t end up using it — when you’re on Gili, swimming in the ocean feels like the obvious choice.
Breakfast was probably the most disappointing part of the stay. There is a menu, but in reality there aren’t many options to choose from. On the second morning about half of the menu was unavailable when we tried to order, and no explanation was given.

Overall, Sea Shell Hotel Gili is a decent option if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. It’s not perfect, but for a short stay on the island it worked well enough.

GGuest UserThe most annoying thing: the bar/restaurant operates separately from the hotel, and there's no way to pre-authorize your credit card. As a result, you're constantly paying: breakfast, lunch, after-work drinks, dinner... it's impossible to leave without cash.
The hotel staff isn't very efficient: we asked for water, we never got it; we asked for a towel change, the cleaning lady didn't do it; and when we asked to reserve a horse-drawn carriage to take us to the pier, they forgot...

VVery Curious ApeTotal 4 buildings. Deluxe Ultimate Rooms, in a 4-storey building at the back, are newer and very beautifully furnished. Deluxe Classic rooms (in 3-storey buildings) look rather old and worn and some of them (in the first building, nearest to the reception, are under renovation). Some construction work is being carried out now next to the reception and in the first hotel building - thankfully, I didn't hear any noise or disturbance from my room. Reception is very drab-looking and dimly lit and the tiny lobby is not a place you wish to hang around. Standard check in time is overly late, at 3 pm. Didn't use the 2 pools as I was there in the rainy season and most days, it rained on and off throughout the day. New hotel restaurant at the back is air-conditioned (there's outdoor dining area too), very clean and exudes great ambience! Buffet breakfast has lots of choices - some of the selections are good (pizza, finger food and some of the hot dishes) while others, like the pastries (limp and cold) and chilled items (pretty but excessively sweet desserts) didn't appeal to me. Wifi was painfully slow and frequently got disconnected in the room - the strongest signals are in the restaurant and reception. Overall, I love the spacious, beautiful and well furnished new Deluxe Ultimate room, the greenery all around and the friendly staff service.

We ordered food from the restaurant a few times – it took a long time to arrive and tasted about 5/10, but the breakfasts were incredibly delicious and varied.
The location isn't great if you plan on actively exploring the island, but if you're looking for solitude and just want to relax at the hotel, it's perfect.
The nearest decent store (M-Mart) is about a 15-minute scooter ride away. There's nothing else nearby – no shops, no cafes. Within walking distance, there are only local stalls with a questionable selection of products.
Its location proved inconvenient for island excursions; it took too long to get anywhere.

The hotel offers scooter rentals, but the price is also inflated. You could rent one for a day to get to Kuta and rent from locals there.
We had a room with direct pool access, but we never swam in it. I don't recommend spending extra for it. The area around it seemed dubious, with lots of insects (mosquitoes, large spiders), several big lizards and geckos, and I even saw a rat jumping through the tree branches once.

It’s so nice to stay somewhere with character instead of a standard chain hotel. The stay was perfect—the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, fresh juices, and local dishes. And hearing the ocean waves from the room at night? Pure meditation. I slept like a baby
