We recently stayed at Sunway Grid Loft Suite by Nest Home and found it to be a good option for families and larger groups visiting Johor. The unit was clean upon arrival and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. As this is a residential apartment rather than a traditional hotel, the self check-in process was straightforward and hassle-free. One of the biggest advantages of the unit is its size. Location: Near Legoland and not too far from CIQ. Best if you’re driving, but Grab is available (just fewer drivers around, so book in advance). No shops or eateries nearby. You’ll need to head to Mall of Medini or order via Grab. Cleanliness: Cleaner than many other apartments I’ve stayed in. Just minor dust on the diffuser and bedsheet, but nothing that affected comfort. Service: Excellent service, with fast replies on WhatsApp (except after 10pm). Would be great if there was a drying rack, but amenities like iron, hairdryer, hangers, and even a water dispenser were provided, which was really thoughtful. Facilities: Gym and pool were clean and well-maintained. Vending machines in the lobby were also convenient for quick snacks and drinks. Overall, we had a pleasant stay with great service and facilities. Very convenient for those visiting Legoland.

Everyone was great. They were also communicative and easy to get instructions from. Just some feedback on the water heater, it is so hard to control the heater cause it can be boiling hot and it’s too difficult to shower the kids with the unpredictable shower. They can’t shower with cold water cause of eczema thus we needed the heater. The slide could also be dangerous cause of the steepness and it leads you to the wall, maybe a soft landing against the wall and floor would help ease the anxiety of kids playing around the slide. Well maintained rooms! Very comfortable stay. Just knew that the studio premier room only 1 per level but the view is nice. Especially in the morning wake up to sunrise. Breakfast was generally good. Only issue is that our card key couldn’t work and caused hassle to go down and fix it. Me and kids had to wait and there’s no aircon in lift area. Staff actually came up with my husband to open the door as they don’t know why can’t validate the key!

Staying at Almas was an excellent experience from start to finish. The accommodations were very comfortable and well-maintained, offering a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, ensuring all my needs were promptly met. The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. Came for a short stay w family to celebrate husband's birthday. First time here and it was a pleasant stay! Will definitely come back! The team even did a birthday decor beautifully. Hotel room was big and spacious, the dining table was v practical when we wanna sit as family to have a meal. There's Netflix on tv, bath tub was huge and swimming pool has a jacuzzi too! But did not have time to go for a swim sadly. Near to Tuas checkpoint, just beside Fraser place. Food option, not much but just beside there's a bbq smokehouse Smokd, Kanteen, grocery store Pasar, coffee club and 7-11. Cons: behind the tv area, some parts of the wall, there was quite a number of kamitetep.

First time staying at this hotel. Away from the busyness of the town area. It's a quiet town and nothing much can be done except for those that having plans to Legoland. They have a mini Medini Mall. Full with eateries and a supermarket. Smooth check in and grateful to be given a late check out. A little bit rub down cause it's residence but for a night stay, no complains. Rooms comes with kitchen, microwave, big fridge and utensils. Will definetly come again for a short stay.

Spacious, family‑friendly layouts: Suites with 2 bedrooms, full kitchens, washer/dryer—great for extended families or staycations. Convenience of location (Hard Rock Café downstairs, close to Legoland). But the sofa really needs an upgrade for better comfort and cleanliness. A newer or firmer set would really improve the guest experience.

Check-in was a breeze, and they held our luggage, which was super convenient. The room itself was comfortable. The rooftop infinity pool and sky garden were an amazing surprise! The only downside is that dining options in the immediate area are limited, with just one mall nearby for food.

Tiny downside: someone left their clothes on the showerhead (yup, I spotted it right away next to the window in the bathroom 😅). Probably an oversight from the last guest or housekeeping—nothing major but caught me off guard. Other than that, everything else checked out. The area is super quiet and chill, so you can actually relax—no noisy neighbors or street drama. Would I stay here again? 100%! The value-for-money is unreal and the location can’t be beat.
