We love this small family run hotel. It is smack in the middle of Patan, which some people call a neighborhood of Kathmandu and other people call a separate town. A wonderful place to stay. I would urge anyone who wants an authentic experience to stay in Patan rather than in Kathmandu proper. Easy to go to all the sites in Kathmandu. No problem! The hotel is four or five stories high, no elevator, so one must be in shape. But at the end of your trek up the stairs, you reach their lovely rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served. The breakfasts are homemade by the owners. A real treat is to get the authentic Nepali breakfast. Delicious and memorable! The owners can arrange anything you need. Delightful, warm people! The rooms are not fancy but have everything one could possibly need. And the price is all too reasonable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Try to get a room facing the front. Of note is the view of the pond and the temple from the rooftop. We sat there for hours, just watching the people come by. If you want an authentic Nepalese experience,do not stay in Kathmandu. Stay here! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!
