In all our years of traveling, Posada Yolihuani was among the most charming hotels at which we've stayed. Its location, close to the main square, is extremely close to what tourists (especially those staying a short while) will want to see in Patzcuaro. The hotel itself is organized around a gorgeous courtyard garden with a small pond that is obviously maintained very diligently by someone who cares. The man with whom we interacted (the manager or owner, we assumed) was very welcoming, helpful, and hospitable. Our room was in very good condition and decorated appealingly--it was cozy in the best sense (and it stayed naturally cool, thanks to thick old stone construction), and its doors opened to the garden. The breakfast the next morning was simple but tasty and satisfying. We would very gladly stay there another time.

This is a great place to stay in Patzcuara. Very comfortable and quiet in a beautiful setting and only a 5 minute walk to the centre. The posada was clean and secure and Balam (manager) was really helpful with advice and local knowledge. We would certainly recommend it.

Hotel Posada Yolihuani is a special little boutique hotel in the magical Pueblo of Patzcuaro. The property is just two blocks from the main square which is the hub for entertaining community events, and general people watching. The hotel's proprietors take an active role in the management and are a wonderful source of advice and recommendations for things to do, places to see and dining suggestions. The innkeeper is multilingual and has good contacts for tours etc The rooms are comfortable, with heat and the courtyards are charming with an abundance of plants, birds etc and the staff are welcoming.This is an excellent property to stay at when visiting the very special town of Patzcuaro

This beautiful boutique hotel was very comfortable and clean, and perfectly located to the Patzcuaro square. The owners are onsight and are very welcoming and friendly. Beds are comfortable, and water pressure is amazing! We will definitely be back to stay at this lovely inn.

From the moment I stepped into this lovely posada, I felt instantly at home. The tasteful decor and attention to detail create a truly special atmosphere. Its location is perfect – close enough to everything but tucked away in a peaceful spot. The beautiful garden is a tranquil retreat, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. Every corner of the posada was impeccably clean, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of my stay. The hosts are not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, offering personalized recommendations that made my trip unforgettable.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Patzcuaro. Eric and his staff are the perfect hosts and the hotel has absolutely the most comfortable beds and cozy comforters you will sleep in. Yolihuani is conveniently close to the main square, the Casa de Once Patios and many nice restaurants too. I can’t recommend Yolihuani enough!

Enchanting, tranquil and beautifully kept visited for Dia de los Muertos. The property is gorgeous and owner occupied, the staff is incredible, courteous and every aspect of this stay was custom tailored to us. From help finding local restaurants, even advice on shipping some extra large souvenirs home I would give this 10 stars if I could. We travel a lot and I can say this is THE most secure and safest stay I have ever had. Balam served us breakfast every morning we wanted for nothing this whole stay, Eric the owner went out of his way daily to just make sure we had the full experience in this town…. Can not recommend this place more

I'm just back from 6 wonderful days at the Posada Yolihuani in Patzcuaro. The rooms, which are tastefully appointed with Michoacán crafts, front on two lush gardens. There are several outdoor tables for relaxing and Koi to admire in a little stream! The accommodations are lovely, but even more lovely is the family who run it. Owners Eric and Vicky are very friendly and super helpful in setting up excursions and offering advice on where to eat or shop in town. I highly recommend Posada Yolihuani.
